@viksenpai you are digressing from the main topic here we are not talking about EQ but general health and what is best to improve the body and with it goes EQ
Pygeum on its own would not releive the symptoms of urinary problems at night. I do not know your age but probably good idea to have a prostate/bladder check before self medication other you must no consume any drinks two hours before bedtime let alone stimulants like coffee or teas.

Vitamin K2 is a blood coagulant and should only be consumed under medical supervision and directly contradicts the effects that you seek with l’arginine.

Chia and flax seeds are an excellent source of omega and the rest vitamins may not be fully absorbed by the body’s self protective mechanism or automimmune system although some are good to consume I prefer a good diet and source of foods rather than synthetics.
.
You do not have to consume fresh berries but dried just do fine gojiberries, barberries, blueberries are excellent source of antioxidants.
As far minerals mumio is excelent natural product but may be expensive due to quality

Not at all mate, that wasn’t a summary of everything said in the thread, I was just sharing my personal reasons for taking the forementioned supplements. :)

Thank you for the insight, I think I should start researching more thoroughly. Do you believe the claims about vitamin K2 (improve tooth health, cardiovascular health, Tim Ferriss’ claims about it, etc.) and do you find it being a good supplement overall?
I’ll gladly try eating a healthy diet and not take any synthetics, I’d prefer that too, it just seems a bit hard to get everything the body needs just from food. That being said, I’ll look into spirulina and chlorella and also mumio.

P.S. I think the nightly urinating thing might’ve been a psychological thing and it’s probably gone for good. I might as well remove pygeum from the list.

The only supplement I am taking is standardized Panax Ginseng L. (botanical name), 200mg a day.

I take it for 25 years now, initially chose it for the exam periods in my studies. In fact, I can give evidence of a healthy libido, my brain seems quite fit and I can concentrate myself in thoughts beyond average. And a most welcome side-effect is that I rarely get sick, maybe 2 or 3 days a year but then it must be a mighty cold I catch. The usual influenza just pass by me without impact.

When it comes to food, I just try to cook as much as possible myself and use fresh and seasonal products. I have adapted my fast carb consumption to my physical needs and am a big eater of raw fruit and raw veggies. Although not a vegetarian, I do not eat a lot of meat but have 2 or 3 times per week fish.

Until now, only good experiences, and I am slowly loosing weight. I have a goal set, but want to reach it by loosing never more than 2 pounds per month.

Additional PE-specific supplements are in consideration, but no decision has been made yet. The basic for me is to have a well balanced cuisine of seasonal and not highly pre-processed food combined with sufficient physical activity for well-feeling, well-being and health.

Just my 16 millions, as one would say in Zimbabwe.

My logbook: Richard65 - the roadbook

Richard (and anybody else), I read that Panax Ginseng shouldn’t be taken for more than two or three months due to side effects connected to inflammation and hormonal disbalances. What’s your take on that?

P.S. I’m making a list of supplements that I’m planning to start taking. I’ll post it when I’m ready, so I can get feedback from you guys. :)

Normally I do not take Panax since I am taking other similar including mumio but one must do quite a lot of reasearch. As a rule I do not take one opion or two as gospel internet is good but a word of caution is valid there is too much copying and plagiarism when it comes to medical research claims and counterclaims.

Thanks sricardo, I noticed the thing about plagiatrism too. That’s why I’m mostly trusting sites like examine and webmd . I do think, however, that this is a great community and I really respect your opinions. Don’t worry, I won’t take any opinion for the abslute truth, but I will take it into consideration. That being said, I’d appreciate your (and everybody else’s) thoughts on the following list:

Ginkgo biloba (powdered) - 200mg
White Panax Ginseng (powdered) - 500-1000mg (because the white ginseng has less ginsenosides)
Brahmi (Bacopa Monnieri) (tablets) - aiming for 150mg of bacosides, I will scale the intake according to that
Chlorela (powdered) - 3-5g. This is kind of expensive though, so I’m wondering if I should bother…
Spirulina (powdered) - 3-10g, because the spirulina that I can buy is not of the highest quality and has less than 10% C-Phycocyanin
Rhodiola Rosea (powdered) - 300-600mg. This one seems great, no reported side effects and great benefits
Some kind of multivitamin (tablets/pills) - 1/2 of the recommended daily dosage of the vitamins that I choose since I’m going to be taking a lot of other stuff
Fish oil (probably pills) - aiming for 3-5g of EPA/DHA, I will scale the intake according to the brand I choose
Vitamin D/D3 (tablets/pills) - aiming to complement the multivitamin to a total of 2000-5000 IU

So, any advice or critique?

If you callfor my opion I would keep everthing else but not multivitamins of any kind What you quote here and previouly should suffice your needs pretty wel
multies are just pretty expensive pee
I differ with Marinera’s opion that herns do not do much for one but that is his opions and expereince if any I get my fresh herbs ad rotots so it is not fair comparison.

Thanks, sricardo. :)

Anyone else that has something interesting to say - go ahead. :)
