Using Timacle (Chiococca alba) to aid lig stretching
I spent some time researching the possibility of using DMSO to aid in stretching ligaments (see Monty: - DMSO and hanging). I think it would be probably be effective, but it was just a bit too risky for me. However, in my research I came across an herb called Timacle (Chiococca alba) that is supposed to have the effect of making ligaments more stretchy.

Apparently people use it to increase flexibility for stuff like Yoga. I spoke to the owner of this site and she confirmed that the effects are temporary and that your ligs will return to their prior state after a day or two, aside from any permanent stretching you induce while using the herb. After going back and forth I finally ordered the cream and I plan to give it a try (using extreme caution, of course). Since this herb has only been mentioned in one post on this entire site (Monty: - DMSO and hanging), I’m curious if anyone else has tried it?
It may be a while until I know enough to make any comments on it’s effectiveness, but I’ll report back eventually. FWIW, my routine consists of pumping/light jelquing/ADS (w/ a 9oz weight).
