Has anyone else experienced reduced erections with sesame oil? I’ve read on a bodybuilding forum that sesamin, which is from sesame oil, reduced libido, and it seems to have happened to me as well. I’ve just stopped the oil pulling and I’ll see if it was the cause.

As I understand it, part of the health claims stem form the notion that OP provides some degree of chelation therapy, and part of that may draw some the metals actually bonded to the tooth

Also, remember that soap is fat + lye— oil is a solvent that can nullify many bonds.

The sesame/ whiteness thingy I’ll leave to others— I’m interested to see if OP impacts any of my dental issues.

Hmm. The crown I’m about to get is made of stainless - ain’t no oil nullifying nothing on the surface of that! Since it’s a porcelain covered crown, the only place where the oil could access the bond to the cement/tooth is at the edge, at the base of the tooth. Be hard for the oil to work it’s way in there, I think. But I’ll ask the dentist.

I’ll add a tip for hygiene. I’ve posted it before in another thread.

Flushable toddler wipes instead of dry toilet paper. The store brand ones are less than $2 at Target. One pack lasts for weeks.

I start with toilet paper and finish with a couple wipes.

Once you use the wet wipes, you will be surprised how much is left after just the dry toilet paper. No wonder that I have read that women say we literally smell like shit.

They work great for her to quickly “freshen up” too…

"Flushable wipes" are flushable, but - with few exceptions - they do NOT disintegrate in water, like toilet paper does. "Flushable wipes" are regular wipes, cut to a smaller size. For you as a home owner, this means risk of clogging your drains - if there is a tree root in the pipe, you have a problem. For you as a citizen, it means increased taxes since the sewers and waster water plants have problems with the darn things. Increased landfill of the most appetizing sort, too.

I have had concern about this as well. So I left some “soak” in the toilet for a couple hours. The Target brand ones I use basically dissolved just from the soaking in the non-moving water.

Some of the other brands we have had around do not feel the same as the Target ones, and I could tell they were not going to dissolve like the Target ones.

Hmm, maybe I’ll just buy one of those high tech Japanese toilet seats with the bidet and all. I used one at the bath houses in Korea and it was pretty impressive. Seat warmers for the winter, an oddly accurate aim for the bung hole, and even a built in dryer. I’m assuming supersizeit’s “Ass Cleaning 101” post was more geared toward cleaning before having sex. But then again, I usually try to time my shits so that I go right before I take a shower.

Any update on those that undertook the oil pulling?

I’ve been swishing virgin oil for about a week for 5 mins, and I haven’t noticed any changes. Infact, my teeth’s colour seems to vary alot from day to day.

It seems that the worst of the bad breath I have some times has gone away (my 6-yo daughter once said “It smells monster from your mouth.”)
