My date with Hair Removal cream!

Did a bit of shopping earlier and figured I’d give hair removal cream a go. Found a cream that comes in a roll-on bottle but I didn’t read the back before buying it.

It says not to use on head, face, nostrils, ears or genital regions. Well that’s exactly why I got it. Tested a small patch first and no allergic reaction or burning sensation. Sweet!

Applied the cream and waited. And waited. And waited. By the 4 minute mark my scrotum started to tingle but nothing painful, or at least nothing I couldn’t handle. So far the rest of the pubic region felt fine.

After about 9 minutes I began wiping the hair away. Wow! It was falling away in big clumps. Then I wiped my balls. :warp: Argh! It wasn’t as bad as the time I got chilli on my dick but man it is uncomfortable (in a funny kind of way)! After all the hair and cream had been wiped away I jumped in the shower and washed it all away using lukewarm water.

After the shower my scrotum is swollen and looks red and angry. A liberal application of a vitamin E gel and it feels fine, still looks angry but feels fine.

Overall I’m quite happy with the results (minus the angry red balls) and I’m going to do it again in 2 days time but I’ll tweeze the hair on my balls instead. There seems to be a bit of stubble in some spots and a few fine hairs didn’t seem to go. At least I won’t be getting any more ingrown hairs from shaving or tweezing.

That stuff is evil for me. Can’t put it anywhere on my body. It gives me a chemical sunburn everywhere I put it.

I repeat DO NOT USE ON BALLS. I did this and I was in pain! the balls cant take it they have thin skin!!!

Brave man, did you use it on the rest of your junk or just the balls?

I used it all over. From my belly button to my arse and only my balls reacted badly to it.

I thought they looked angry before! You should see them now!

The vitamin E gel has dried up enough now to get an idea of what sort of stubble is left and there’s a bit more than I first realised. I’m thinking the hair removal cream wasn’t on thick enough or close enough to the skin to really target the roots.

I will definitely do it again in another day or two.

It could just be my imagination but it seems the discoloration I have isn’t as bad as it was prior to the treatment.

Oh shit, keep an eye on your balls. I hope you do not end up with open sores. I have heard of hair removal products that if left too long, days later it causes open sores. I had the same experience shedding the snake and I posted it too. It is on the last 5 pages of that thread. Took months to heal. By the way, what is the product you used called?

The open sores thing has me worried. I wonder, how do you know if you’re going to get open sores?

It’s strange but it’s only the front of my scrotum that have this problem, underneath and the rear are fine. I’ve just finished having a warm bath and my scrotum is sweating, sort of. It’s more slimey than sweaty and actually stings more now than it did before the bath.

Try Polysporin all over your balls?

Do NOT use antibiotic salves on large surface areas. Many are ototoxic; you can go permanently deaf.

You are nuts TS, absolutely, positively insane to put that shit on your balls…..and when you said “I’ll tweeze the hair off my balls” confirmed that you love pain as well.

Oh yeah, just use a pair of grooming clippers…they don’t give you a close shave, which prevents ingrowns and irritation.

I don’t know what Polysporin is, never seen or heard of it here in Australia. I’ll stick with my Vitamin E + Aloe Vera gel, that seems to be working a treat.

Damn straight I’m nuts, sensible is boring. The pain doesn’t really bother me that much, it’s irritating but nothing I can’t live with. I guess I have a higher tolerance for pain than most people. I’ve used grooming clippers before but I find the hairs grow back thicker and besides, I prefer the bald and oiled sensation :)

Hmm, I’m no doctor but here in Canada it’s a defacto standard cream/ointment for skin ailments. In a way it seems to work at preventing an infection and repairing the skin and it does a damn good job. I think the ingredient’s are pretty simple too (for a chemist).

I use vitamin E and Aloe Vera Gel myself and it does a great job with things that aren’t wounds and instead irritation (like shaving), Polysporin is more for wounds.

Edit: If you’re worried about wounds opening up (that’s what I read somewhere in this thread), Polysporin. If not then I guess there’s no problem.

Well there’s no open wounds -yet. So that’s a good sign, I think it’s just chemical burn which is why the vitamin e +aloe vera gel is working so well.

I’ve noticed this morning that the skin has become tough and coarse, still a little red and inflamed but nothing unmanageable. The only thing that sucks about this is that I can’t use my pump or my ADS but at this rate I should be able to get back to a normal routine tomorrow.

Oh yeah. I can see it now. ;)
