Actually not 100% correct & I had a treatment that was intended to target that thinner light coloured hair just yesterday.

No Voodoo just simple facts, which are probably already mentioned, but I’ll repeat them.

Air needs to be in the Anagen Stage of growth, ie it comes out with a nice juicy root when plucked.
Energy from the Laser or IPL heats the root & damages/destroys the follicle root over time.

Light hair, no colour = no heat, hence won’t work.

BUT,
Waxing/plucking 24 to 48 hours before a treatment damages the follicles of the lighter hair.
Think of it as leaving like a small scab in the base of the follicle.
It is this dried dark blood spot the laser can use to create the energy.

BTW, My partner is a highly trained therapist in some of these areas, and her colleague is a laser specialist.

Like thunders, they don’t try to sell anything, but run a forum discussing the pros and cons of each type of permanent hair removal. If there’s a bias on the site, it favors traditional electrolysis over lasers.

The sister site, hairfacts, is a brilliant site. It’s interesting that they have branched out a little into less easily verifiable methods.

I had parts of my face and my neck done almost five years ago. I began going white haired here and there, but my natural color was one of the natural real darkest colors and was coarse as hell and bent/curved. Had my face swell up from some of the lasering too.

The wife had me shaving the front from the neck to the sack. I tried waxing (complete Brazilian) once and loved the smoothness, I kept waxing for a couple years but was tired of the ingrown hairs. I started laser treatment and I’ve done I think 5 treatments and I LOVE IT!! Its pricey at $300 per session but from neck to crack its a lot to remove the “Nordic blanket!”

I have completed a half a dozen rounds with the Tria and I’d say that so far I have eliminated 60 to 70 percent of the hairs on my stomach, pubic region, shaft, balls, taint, and ass. It’s nice to be able to do this sort of thing in private. I have not used it for a few months due to life getting in the way but I am resuming it this weekend. I’ve read that it’s good to shave and then wait 2 days as the hairs will be more into their growths stage which is when the laser is most effective. I didn’t do that my first 6 rounds as I would shave then immediately use the laser. Still, the results have been good so far regardless.

I decided to remove hair from my butt too, also area close to anus.

I bought the tria beauty laser hair removal device a few years ago to mainly remove shaft hair. I had at least an inch to an inch and a half I wanted removed. I also had some small patches of hair towards the end, near my glans. It permanently removed all that I wanted. It does take about 4-6 rounds to remove it all. I would shave, apply the cream and zap away as the instructions said. Some hair would grow back thinner and thinner until completely gone. It was pricey but well worth it.

SO far, has the hair grown again? have you seen a real permanent removal?

Is IPL laser treatment any more or less successful?

I’m doing the laser Brazilian treatments now and I am loving it. I have had one treatment already with the next one coming up this Friday.

After only one treatment the majority of the hair isn’t growing back and the few that are have been very slow growing and much thinner.

I was pretty hairy, especially on the balls and butt. Shaving is a huge pain, literally. I would get awful razor burn and it made me very sensitive after shaving, even my underwear hurt.

I can post some pictures if you would like to see the progress, unfortunately I don’t have any before full hairy pics to compare to.

That is very cheap. Just make sure you are using someone who knows what they are doing.

You may want to take a few Ibuprofen before your first treatment. The pain is not horrible but it does sting pretty good on the balls and shaft. The crack and anus is pretty easy though.

You will love the look and feel once you get it done. I have no regrets at all.
