Hi Maxtro
Avocet has given you some good advice. I’m considered to be a very good dresser and everyone says I have great hair (guess everyone has SOMETHING). I like silk woven golf shirts (they’re extremely comfortable - no, I’m not a golfer) - dark ones since my hair is silver (I’m 59). I wear my hair on the short side because it’s wavey, which I don’t like and my wife would give anything to have. I advise you to go shorter - your hair is too long for the style in which you wear it. Dump the tennis shoes, white socks, etc. In one of your photos, you have a sports shirt on with a white tee shirt. The shirt is unbuttoned and probably isn’t tucked into your pants, which really looks as tho you’ve been lying on the couch taking a nap - in other words, sloppy looking. My son dresses like you (he’s 26) and I told him the other day he really needs to trash the tee shirts and start dressing “up” a bit.
BTW, I HATE to smile too, I feel extremely self concious when I’m being photograhed, I’d rather be beaten half sensless (anyone mention foreplay?????) Every several months “Men’s Health” has a section on clothing, hair, skin, etc. Don’t copy these guys but at least look at the photos and get ideas. I also wear linen - shirts, pants, too, but after about 10 minutes, it looks as tho I’ve slept in them, but the fabric is great to wear in a warm climate like Atlanta. But linen is very high maintenace - my dry cleaner loves me. Also, go into a clothing store, a local one that’s not a chain. Make friends with a clerk that’s about your age. He should be able to give you advice and help you as styles change. Tell him what you can afford and tho styles change, it doesn’t mean you have to trash your entire wardrobe, just add a shirt or two, blazer, etc. It doesn’t cost a bloody fortune to be well dressed.
Where do you live? One of us may know a good store in your area in which to direct you.
