What kind of chickens? The egg size range varies tremendously. Are you talking about something the size of bantam eggs here? Organic chicken eggs? Factory produced steroid enlarged eggs? It’s worth remembering too that the egg size varies dramatically just because of the diet of the chicken. A developing world chicken egg is really quite small; the average US egg is, maybe, 75% bigger.

8x6cm is big but won’t look ridiculous. Mine are 7.5x5cm and look perfect.
