Can smoking marijuana give you ED?

It wasn’t just in your head. Buds that simply knock your ass out, like well ripened indicia can weaken erections in the same way drinking a couple shots of Everclear would. Anything that gets you that subdued makes it hard to stay hard. There are literally hundreds of strains of cannabis now with all the new hybrids. But no matter what you grow, knowing when to harvest is one of the most important things about home cultivation, and letting buds become too ripe does increase the tired, or knock out effect and overripe buds will cause your sexual performance to drop. Sativa has a long harvest, where Indicia have a faster maturation. As has already been stated , sativa is a more up, high where indicia is more sedate, with an almost narcotic effect when left flowering too long. You really need a microscope to see trichomes properly. The lighted magnifying glasses are just not strong enough. A cheap 50X microscope will work. After you shorten your light cycle to 12 on 12 off and switch from MH to HPS light indicia plants will think it is fall and start to flower within 14 days. Always sample pistils rather than leaves. (the little hairs) The resin glands (trichomes will first be transparent and globular then stalked after about three weeks of flowering then capitate-stalked in about 45 days with most indicia strains. Once you see that at least 50% of the trichomes are capitate-stalked trichomes (like little mushrooms) and are still transparent just starting to turn amber your buds are at the peak of ripeness. Letting indicia flower longer than this will make sweater sticker buds, but will definitely impede your sexual performance. Sativa on the other hand is a whole different ballgame. But nobody bothers with sativa indoors. The plants are just too leggy and the buds are sparse, and because the innernodal length between branches make the plants too tall at maturation to grow indoors, although the high is more energetic. You smoke good sativa and you want to fuck, go to a concert, come back home and fuck again. You smoke good indicia and you most likely will just want to sit on the couch and watch the tube and call Dominoes, only dialing the phone might be too much trouble.

My brother used to get this stuff in Florida called “Gainsville Green.” They put coffee grinds in the soil when they grow it. The effect was great. You’d be stoned and mellow, but also a bit perky because of the coffee. I never tried having sex on it, but it would probably be great.

Coffee grounds in the soil lowers the PH. Marijuana is a weed, in the nettle family, actually. It requires a very low PH of 6.0 in order to absorb nutrients. Keeping the PH down is critical to growth. If one must grow in dirt, Dolomite Lime works better than coffee grounds. I don’t see how coffee in the soil would make the high perky, I think that is just an old wives tale. Probably just some good Florida hybrid, however if it was grown outdoors it was probably sativa, which would explain its perkiness more that the coffee. Dirt, Sun and Seed have been pretty much replaced by technology these days. I won’t smoke anything grown in dirt anymore.

Could be. This is a subject I know nothing about. But the effect of this stuff was very unique. I’ve been a casual smoker for a good many years, mostly here in California, but also elsewhere in the U.S. and on two other continents. So I imagine I’ve smoked many types—in particular, other types of sativa. But this Gainsville Green was different. Normally, when I’m high, I trance out for some time and then go straight to sleep. On the Gainsville Green, you want to talk and talk and talk and just hang out. It’s a bit like doing a line or two with your joint—or, as it were, having a couple of strong cups of coffee with it!

Man, I wish I had a bag of something, anything, right now. I have absolutely no connections of that kind yet where I am living now. Perhaps I should visit one of these new “clinics.” I’m feeling a migraine comming on. Yes, yes—it’s definitely a migraine. Doctor, doctor, please!

Actually, I have gotten so stoned that I had trouble keeping it up. I don’t have sex with my wife, and I don’t get stoned anywhere else but home. So the only time I’m stoned with an erection is when I’m aroused with the help of porn. If I’m too stoned, my mind can wander and I might start mulling over some sad event, or thinking about other depressing things. Then I get in such a funk that I’m not aroused any more. I can usually get aroused again by viewing a good video porn scene for a minute or two. So, I try to never have more than three or four tokes.

But that tendency to get introspective and dwell on sad things when very stoned is why I avoid smoking pot too much. I spent the years from age 13 to 21 being stoned every day, usually all day. I’m prone to depression, and smoking pot made me a mopey, morose kid who was sad and worrying all the time. I consider it a tragedy now that I spent so many years of my life in such a funk. ‘Got kicked out of high school. ‘Fretted so much that I could never keep a girlfriend. Fought with my parents. Blew whatever chance I had to be a famous rock and roll singer. Squandered my intelligence and talents. If the conditions are right, I like being stoned, but I also know that I have to be careful with weed.

The only real way I can see marijuana causing impotence is if your too stoned to pay attention to the sex ;) …otherwise I find marijuana to be a pretty good sexual aide. For me not only does it increase tactile sensation, but it also can delay orgasm. Certainly it is a plant sent from the gods ;) .

In nature 10-25y, with good soil and care 3-5y, with grafting to a faster growing cactus like a peruvian torch or pereskiopsis 1-2 years.
It still takes a while, but the coolness factor is well worth it. :thumbs:
Plus once you have good sized buttons they have pups that mature quickly and can be removed and planted.

As for weed effecting erections I must also add: if you have enough or are not a seasoned smoker, it will effect your mind enough that you may not have the focus to perform well sexually. In moderation I’ve never had negative effects, only positive. Girls will also cum faster and have more intense orgasms.

I enjoy a smoke now and then, have always been into sport, always fit, although having sex after a joint now and again is satisfying.
I have at most times, been able to have sex and not blow for over an hour.
This involves PC squeezes in between orgasm, sometimes I can shoot my load 4-5 feet because of the constant build up and retracting, the wife loves it.

Hey wanted to pipe in as I am experiencing some horrid symptoms and think it must be the weed … Got ED and cysts and all sorts … Still not 100% but I think it must be the weed had tests and everything …. :-( I hate hearing about people that have smoked for like 20 years and never had a problem . . Maybe because I smoke weed and tobacco together?

Tobacco is always bad for EQ. (Hence the reason I have never smoked MJ or Tabac)
The best thing to do is give it a break for awhile and see if it improves.
