Circumcision- To do or not?

I have a son on the way in a couple of months and need to make a decision about circumcision. I am circumcised and certainly get enough pleasure that I masturbate way too often and think about sex all the time, so the decrease in pleasure does not seem to be too great. I also think women like circumcised better. That said, this is the 21st century and cutting my new sons dick seem a bit medieval. Any thoughts?

I had a foreskin until I was 19. I have not had one for the second half of my life. I’ve been entirely happy both ways. If I were to be the father of a boy in a couple of months I would not have him circumcised. A foreskin can easily be removed later on, but it is far harder to replace it! Nature knows what she is doing and having a foreskin is ‘natural’. If mine had not been damaged, I would still be very happy to have it, but like you I don’t miss it.

If I had never had a foreskin I would wonder if sex/masturbation would have been better if I had had one. Some people who were circumcised at birth do feel they have been mutilated in some way; they will never know that it makes absolutely no difference at all. Well, it hasn’t for me. Unless you have strong (eg. religious) reasons for circumcision, don’t do it.

Leave him uncut and give him the the opportunity to choose himself.

I got circumcised on 31st March this year. It was really painfull the first few days but I am glad I got it done. PE is easier, sex is better and wearing condoms is easier. All women I have met prefer the look too.

I am very glad i got circumcised. I went for a high/tight cut, with scar line close to the body. I did loose half an inch in length though which I am now getting back. (due to the skin being shorter)

I had to make that decision recently and my son is now circumcised. No regrets (Until he starts bitching me out when he gets older). I think the body adjusts its sensitivity level as you grow, so circumcised men can enjoy sex as much as uncircumcised. There are many studies about circumcised penises having a lower incidence of std’s, aids, etc. (don’t take my word for it, google it) although the current fad in medicine is for uncircumcised, they seem to ignore the studies. You should also look up nocirc.com and see what the other side has to say. Again, for godofdeviltry, I don’t recommend adult circumcision

Haha, you’re trying to get rid of your foreskin, and here I am stretching it 24/7 to grow one! If I were in your situation, I’d either

a. wait for more girth gains and see if that helps or

b. if I had to get cut, I would only get a partial cut

Just keep in mind that you will be disrupting blood flow to *some* degree by being circumcised since you are severing some major blood supply vessles which will not heal exactly 100% as you were intended. Good luck though!

I am circumcized but from what I have seen of uncircumcized guys, it sometimes looks ok, but if there is too much foreskin, then it can look like an ant eater snout , and I don’t think that is a very good look.
