I have had similar problems in my life. I was to the point, I almost had to plan bathroom stops thru out the day. I would feel like I needed to pee really bad then just pee a few drops. It was a really miserable time. I honestly think a lot of it is psychological. I know it starts off generally with some type of urinary infection. I really doubt that your PE work had anything to do with it. I did talk to my Doctor and he told me basically the same thing Cactus Jack’s Doctor told him. Hold back and it’ll eventually get better. He also told me that it could be diet related. Spicy foods or foods with a lot of acid could add to the problems. Caffeine is another culprit.

One of the reasons I was having my problem was I had had several infections from different injuries to my urethra. I’m not sure exactly what caused my injuries. The Doctor said, It could have been caused by straddling a fence, foot slipping on a bicycle peddle and racking myself or even riding a horse. I had actually done all of those at some point. I think it was from hard, rough sex. LOL No kidding. I ended up having to have a surgery to have the Stricture (scar tissue build up in the urethra) removed. During that few weeks after the surgery, I had to have a catheter and wear a pee bag. The urges weren’t nearly as bad because there wasn’t any pee to put pressure on my bladder.

So, my mind kinda took over and I didn’t think about it because I knew I couldn’t go. Once I had the catheter and bag removed I didn’t have the same problem. I’m not sure if it was having the stricture removed or having the pee bag to take the desire away. I still have some problems, but not nearly as bad as they used to be. I try to hold it as long as I possibly can and I think that has helped me. There are also drugs available that will help. Ask your Doctor if he can give you something to help with the urges. Your Prostatitis is something to keep an eye on. I would get it checked every year from now on, if I was you. I don’t think I really gave you any real help to solve your problem. I don’t think there are any simple answers. There are a lot of variables. Just keep your Doctor informed. Good Luck

Old home remedies sometimes work were doctors fail. Drink 2 glasses of cranberry juice everyday. It helps me when I get a bladder infection.

Does Saw palmeto really work?

It’s important to determine what type of prostatitus you have: bacterial or not. Sometimes, even if bacterial, it doesn’t show in urine tests and you have to go a little farther; getting your prostate fluid checked, or semen to isolate the specific bacteria. Some bacterial prostatitis is resistant to some antibiotics because they don’t easily get into the prostate. You have to stay on the antibiotic a good while, which you did. When you saw the uro, did he tell you what type prostatitis you have?

Forget Kegel exercises. No harm if they are not painful/irritating, but they sure won’t cure bacterial prostatitis. Saw palmetto may reduce prostate size but it won’t do a lick to kill bacterial prostatitis, if that’s what you have. Frequent ejaculations will often relieve the pain/discomfort.

I’m wondering…..

Men have 2 sphincters to hold urine (poor women only have 1). What I’m thinking that is you pulled your penis on that traction device and it caused the muscles of the sphincters to get stretched too. You’re tractioning the whole penis and the muscles that control the sphincter are attached to it. So what happens is they’ve been stretched out thus causing a weakening of their ability to hold urine.

By that scenario I wager that if you hold back on the traction for a while your muscles might come back into shape.

Now, I have had prostatitis. It’s annoying and quite uncomfortable. I hated it. Masturbation definitely helps (it’s fun too!), as it cleans the pipes and helps to keep fluids moving which is helpful in getting rid of the infection. I was about your age when I first got it and was pretty pissed-off I had contracted an old man’s disease but it subsided.

The meatus (pee hole), as you’ve probably noticed, is a mucous membrane that shouldn’t be exposed for long periods of time. Some men have rounder meatuses than others and some are even naturally open but any mucous membrane is prone to infection so if you go back to traction I’d suggest using an antibiotic gel made for applying to mucous membranes.

P.S. - Urologists can be helpful if you’re totally honest with them. Please, please, please, take my advice. The three people you should NEVER lie to are your doctor, your lawyer, and your clergyman.

I remember my old school tutor (different system for US I think) anyway, he was a cool relaxed bloke. So one day he got talking to us about this infection I think it was, he said the only way he got round it was to take a shower and it would subside. But he may have been talking about a different problem. Ill save the crabs story for another time.

Hey carlo! Has your doctor figured out what has caused the prostatitis?? There are 3 reasons why someone could end up with it namely:-
1.Bacterial infection,
2.Auto-immune response or disordered immune response,
3.Neuromuscular, tension or physical injury problem

Additional possible causes:
a uric acid disorder,
prostate stones,
a urethral stricture,
a rare tumor,
prostate cancer,
benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH, non-cancerous growth of the prostate),
a food allergy,
a yeast infestation,
a specific yeast problem from the Genus Candida,
or a virus.

Please explain to your doctor about your use of the Penis master. This will greatly help him in his diagnosis. There is no need to be enbarrassed. Also please understand that only your urologist is in the best position to cure your problem and none of us here maybe able to help up in any direct way since treatments for different people varies. In short, there is no set course to treat Protatitis. So find yourself a good doctor.

PS: I may be able to get you some opinions from good doctors I know in my family. PM your case file if you need some advice. Ill take it up with the docs here.

Walk slowly but never backwards.

Thanks a lot guys for the advice.

I will tell my doctor about the stretcher as soon as I see him again. He tried to culture my urine the last time I saw him, so he massage my prostate, but he couldn’t get the infection out. He said that the three-month therapy of antibiotics could have killed the infection. He says also that it’s a tough call to make regarding my situation, and that it’s why I posted here. When a doctor tells you that he does not know, what can you do? I’m in Atlanta right now, and I’ll try to see another Urologist as soon as I go back to Florida. In the mean time, I just wanted to learn about other people’s experience regarding prostititis. Can it be cured assuming you have either bacterial or none?

What do you mean by PM?

PM your case file if you need some advice.

I don’t know much about this, however, I could say a little something.

Have you been thinking about this alot? I remember I went through a similar thing once, where I kept having to go pee. And the more I thought about it, the more I went. It was more of a psychological thing.

Just thought I’d share.

Definitely getting bigger.

I’m trying to study for a very important test right now,so my mind is not even on my protattis issue. I just pee becuase I can’t help it.

If it really is due to prostititis (inflammation of the prostate) which is also usually uncomfortable to painful….

then here is an interesting approach that uses broccoli ( ingested for the wise guys here).

http://www.pros … broccindex.html

Many guys have seen great results with this, and its cheap and safe.

It can’t hurt to try, hell they claim it even increases ejaculate volumn…humm, I should start eating this stuff!

Remember that it must be cooked for it to work, it deactivates a enzyme that needs to be deactivated for it to do you some good…good luck!

If it is bacterial, easier to cure than other chronic types. Something less than 10% of prostatitis is found to be bacterial, but I believe that figure is low in reality because so many docs just throw up their arms when the cause is not real apparent, as in a casual urine test. The average urine culture is a 3 day one. You have to request a 5 day one specifically in order to get that. It may be necessary to culture your semen if a prostatic squeeze does not provide enough evidence to test.

You need a urologist who has a special interest in prostatitis and is willing to order the tests which will isolate the specific agents causing your infection. Usually some strain of E. coli is a culprit but you need to know which one(s) - I had two types at the same time - in order to take the correct medication and for a useful period of time. All drugs do not work on all bugs, especially in the prostate which is not easily penetrated by antibiotics. It took many uros and several painful years to get rid of mine, but my present uro has had me clear of prostatitis for going on three years. My PSA reads are very low for my age group and all my plumbing works.

Why suffer, waiting to get back to Fla.? Here is just one of many doctor-finder links specific to geographic regions. Check it out.

Thank you all,,,,,

I will follow your advice, and keep you all posted. I’m just a little bit crazy right now with this freaking problem. I used to blame it on the penis master, and myself for trying to enlarge my penis, but it seems that everything was just a cruel coincidence. Doctors should do more research about fighting protatitis because sometimes they don’t have a clue. And prostatitis can really play tricks on you. I wouldn’t wish this on anybody.

I think it is, as you say, a cruel coincidence. I’ve never heard of anybody getting prostatitis from PE although it is possible to get prostatitis-like symptoms if you overdo Kegel exercises. When that muscle is stressed, it feels very like a case of prostatitis.

Hey, I’ve had something like this (prostatitis/epididymitis) and pretty much came to the conclusion that urologists really don’t have a clue. Can’t blame them, from what I understood the whole thing is pretty hard to diagnose and treat. Much of what I was told (and read) sounds very much like what has been said here. Basically, hard to treat and it’ll suck, but suck less and less over time until it is (hopefully) gone. Oddly, this is pretty much how things panned-out for me.

Now…fuck that stretcher device! When you mentioned it, it rang a bell in my head. My first symptom freaked me out because I thought I had a hernia, it was a slightly painful and tingling sensation in my abdomen just above and to the left of my cock. According to the doc, that’s the vas differens and it’s much longer and more squiggly than any tidy medical diagram would have one believe. Possible that my whole problem started with an irritated or injured vas, I don’t know for sure.

I will speculate here and say do NOT were the device due to the base and where it puts pressure on your body. May not have caused your problem, but it certainly isn’t going to help things in any way.

Honestly, if I could do it all over again. I wouldn’t have bothered with more than one appointment. You’ll get about the same story everywhere, but you may get to pee in the nifty suction funnel that measures your piss rate if you go to a nice hospital. Beyond not being able to empty your bladder, most urological dilemmas are written off as “minor annoyances” with more psychological ramifications than any real health threat. Yeah, I know….it sucks.

Anyhow, if it is your prostrate, don’t push hard to shit, caffeine to a minimum if at all, no tight waistlines (irritate the vas), alcohol does no good, ejaculate regularly, and stay away from herbals. Not being flippant here, I just think that one has to endure this shit for a bit and it may take care of it self.

Saw Palmetto didn’t do jack for me, I think it made things worse while I took it. The 800mg Motrin horsetabs DID seem to have some effect, a nice benefit was that throughout the prescription I never had a fuckin’ headache. B-Vitamins and Zinc may not be a bad thing if you’re not already taking some.

Thanks for responding,

How long did it take you to get rid of this freaking nightmare? I’m just going to try some of the things that were recommended here, and I guess I’ll just wait. And it’s a fact that Urologists don’t have a clue!!!!
The one I’m seen is an Ivy League graduate and he does not know what to do. Imagined the other ones that went to regular colleges.
