Important Tests for a 20 something year old to have

I’m going to be visiting the doctor soon and I was thinking about a Testosterone level and Diabetes test. I do have a problem maintaining erections which I am taking NOx2 for but I don’t feel like at my age (22) I should have to be takign such a supplement.

Can anyone think of other good tests to have done for general/hormonal health?

A CBC (complete blood count) TSH (thyroid), PSA (even though you are kinda young for that, but it won’t hurt), T levels (again kinda young for that, but….) Blood sugar (diabetes or hypoglycemia). Have them do a cholesterol check, blood pressure check, lipid check (fats in the system) . Most importantly talk with your doctor about the situation and between the two of you should be able to discover the reason.

I am a big advocate of being pro-active when it comes to health care, the doctors are only as good as what we tell them. Be totally honest about the erection problem, and don’t let the doctor tell you its nothing. Because it seems to be important to you and that is what counts. There are many reasons why a young man as yourself might be having erection problems, and you need to get them figured out. Be a real pain if you have to when it comes to your own health, you know your body best and I get the sense you listen to it carefully. Good luck.

Any idea if they’ll need to draw gallons of blood for these tests? I’m a little faint around needles :(

Maybe not gallons, but at least 4 or 5 tubes. Look the other direction and let them know you are squeamish around needles.

Are you taking any medications on a regular basis?, for example, anti-depressants? There are many mood stabilizers and other medications that can affect your libido and cause willy to flag. Just a thought.
