Hello all. I know this does not directly have anything to do with PE, but I do know that higher testosterone levels generally lead to firmer erections. I spoke with my doctor and he told me that there is “absolutely no way to increase testosterone levels without doing steroids.” I looked on the internet and saw a whole lot of supplements and exercises claiming to increase testosterone.

Does anyone know if I can increase my testosterone levels without taking illegal drugs?

If you’re looking for firmer erections, you may want to look into epimedium herb extract - the active ingredient being icariin. You can find it in any major super market, probably labeled as Horny Goat Weed.

The stuff WORKS in my experience. It increases nitric oxide levels in your tissue, allowing way more blood flow. I heard this was actually one of the active ingredients in those Enzyte capsules and is similar to how Viagra works (don’t quote me there).

Anyway, I’m only 22, and I decided to play with the stuff to get extremely riled up with my girl. Results? Totally. Incredibly firm erections, so much that I truly think my dick was at 105% size, literally. My dick would seriously start to drip precum with minimal, if any physical stimulus. Recovery is wicked fast, too. It really was some cool stuff. Sex was noticeably more enjoyable for both of us.

The bottle suggested taking two 500mg capsules a day. This will keep you ready to rock if you keep it up. I question the safety of continued use, since there is little research, so if you try it, go for it a week, then off a week. Or, you can alternatively take 3-4 capsules an hour or so before sex. That seemed to work, too.

As for testosterone, yes you can. I am not into it, yet there are a lot legal (quasi-tested) supplements body builders use. I’d ask around those sorts of forums. Also, certain foods should naturally promote good testosterone levels.

Try doing a search for it. Aside from pulling on your penis to make it larger, concern with testosterone levels is probably one of the second most discussed topics on this board.

I would also consider getting a second opinion because your doctor is flat-out incorrect.

Yeah that doesn’t sound like such a great doctor. I’ve experimented with diets that alter testosterone levels, the ones that work best aren’t too great for cardiovascular health (a lot of saturated fat and little fibre), but they work in raising T for when I’m building bulk.

What mayfirst says is true too, icariin is a PDE-5 inhibitor like viagra.

Cosign that, no better / more natural way in my mind to increase testosterone than doing so with exercise. Supplements definately do help though.

Hey Bamm,

You spoke with your doctor about that. I expect that you have a low level of testosterone then, right? Couldn’t he prescribe you something to increase level of this hormone ? Did you check your testosterone levels ?

I had my Test levels checked. They were 498 of free test. He claims the normal range is 300-1000. I feel like I screwed myself for the test though. It should have a lot to do with diet, exercise, and rest. I’m a broker. I’ve been incredibly stressed out and eating like a pig. I can’t really sleep at night. I didn’t sleep the night before the test and I ate way too much Chinese food. Believe it or not I used to be a powerlifter. My cardio is awful. I know I need to work on that. The issue is that I’ve been losing my erections with the girl I’m dating. It might just be stress but I wanted my doctor to look into it. Since I’m in the normal range I have to believe that it is just the stress.

I’m sorry about the jumping back and forth between topics. I originally went to the doctor for ADHD. I have it. I went to my doctor today. He is getting his license suspended for tax evasion. I’m definitely going to start going to a new doctor.

It depends how old you are .. If you are around 20 - my doc would say that it’s pretty low (not my opinion, I don’t know these things)

I’ve used 5g standardized at 20% icariin before my clamping sessions, seems to improve expansion (subjectively).

In my experience the way to increase testosterone is:

Eat more Unsaturated fat in your diet (olive oil, nuts are major sources).

Exercise with multi-muscle group exercises with semi heavy weight (heavy enough so you can barely do like 10 reps): Squads, Bench, Lat pulldown, Deadlifts, Rows.

Sleep 8 hours a day at least.

I’m only 22, 23, tomorrow, so i don’t know if this works as easily for everyone. But i am pretty sure you can increase testosterone, it’s just hard to sustain. Also your doctor is flat out wrong, i’m not a doctor yet, but in studying for the MCAT, i have already seen ways to increase testosterone.

If your looking for increase testosterone you can try “pro-hormones” they are oral pills used by bodybuilders which are not sterioids, but once they enter the body they are then convertered into sterioids. Hence, that is why they are legal. If your going to take them, you need to be over 21, and take a few other things. I would do alot of research before jumping the gun.

I think that competition, playing pick up ball, full force, increases your testosterone. I think you have to get outside and do stuff. The answer does not lie in some chemical labeled as a health supplement. The answer is basic, easy, activity.

Eat a healthy, plentiful diet. Exercise regularly. Have hobbies. Take your mind off PE as much as you can. I’ve gained tremendously just using my mind. The happier you are, the bigger your gains are going to be.
