Is this an Adderall myth

I keep seeing this pop up on reddit and various forums and I’m not sure its even true.

“Another reason Adderall may lead to a smaller penis is because it can reduce the amount of elastin in your body. Elastin helps your tissues and organs be flexible and elastic. Therefore, reduced elastin from Adderall could lead to a shrinking of the suspensory ligament, which is the ligament that holds the penis to the pubic bone. This is the same ligament we release during a penis lengthening procedure, as it holds more of the penis inside the body, which can make the penis look shorter in the flaccid state.

Adderall induced penis shrinkage may be reversible by changing medications. However, in other cases, switching medications may not restore your previous penis size.”

Is there anyone from a medical background that can debunk this?
I get the feeling this is just a scare tactic..

Amphetamines are known as vasoconstrictors which would affect erections. I don’t see any research on elastin.

What has your own research shown you?

Yeah, I concur with that. I have looked pretty deep and this is my last Depot/stop to see if anybody here has heard anything. The only thing that I can come up from my additional research is that it’s just a vasoconstrictor at higher levels consumed. The elastin part is what is kind of bugging me a bit, and I didn’t really find much other than that your lungs are made of elastin to some degree. Appreciate the second eyes on this memento!

Think about the lungs that for a second and how many people are on Adderall. If people were having breathing difficulties it would be pretty well known.

I dove into it, and found nothing on elastin. But that only means there haven’t been any studies published on it. The only study I found that’s indicative of any effect on penis size mentions a reduction in Intra-Cavernosal Pressure leading to ED. Of course, a reduction in ICP would lead to an immediate reduction in erect size, and prolonged use would lead to further shrinking.

Public schools love Adderall; their non-MD functionaries can prescribe it for children and their parents are fined if they don’t comply. A friend ran into that. (despite “fact check” web pages asserting that doesn’t happen)

My state’s prison system gives Class A narcotics to “unruly” inmates to keep them quiet. This likely sends mixed signals to drug users.

The Fed isn’t mandating Huxley’s Soma to the population *yet*. But given how people complied with Teh Vaxx, I have a nasty suspicion they’d be fine with that. They might have nothing by then, but by damn they’d be happy.

I agree forced medication is a bad plan.

If what you say is true, then it is good for men that do a ligament focused routine like hanging or manual stretches, because it will weaken suspensory ligs tissue so you’ll need less force to achieve fatigue in hanging or stretches. Bib says that it is good to go for things like that or for example to avoid vitamin C because it strengthens the ligs, so you’ll need more weight and more sets.
However, there is no way to know where exactly it will work on everybody’s bodies, it can go to your knees or arms or neck or feet or shoulders or dick and so on, there are lots of options, plus there should be known at which concentration this collateral effect will appear.
