My circumcision log - Medical reasons

12

Madnez, I would follow your urologists advice. I was told to keep mine clean and dry; I had to keep it dry because they used self dissolving stitches.

Naturally some of the stitches broke well before they should have done, but all healed well. I was told not to get an erection for at least a couple of weeks - a silly thing to say to a guy in his late teens! They gave me a freezing spay to attack it with if I was starting to get an erection; needless to say that became a turn-on fairly fast!

When I decided all was well enough healed, I had a hot bath with a pair of tweezers and took out the broken stitches that wanted to come out easily. The rest I left until they dissolved. I would have left all of them, but the ends of the broken ones were catching on things, which wasn’t nice.

I could still see where the stitches had been after a long ‘session’ if I looked very carefully, for maybe 10 years. The flow of tissue fluids was slightly disrupted by the scar tissue, and a little swelling would happen. I haven’t had that for many years now though.

I sometimes wake up with erections, already from day 3, and there was not much I could do about it. (I’m 24).
Well, I tried: 2 weeks before the operation I started to take finastride in a 1mg a day dosis to get my libido down.
From experience I know I have less desire when I’m on that anti-hair loss drug. But it seem to have missed its effect.

But there is no bleeding, and erections look okay - even in the stitches. (mine are also self-dissolving btw)
I do wake up from them, and try to rid myself from them as soon as possible though.

I don’t care much about scarring to be honest, I just want everything to heal and become as solid as possible.
It can’t look worse then before my operation, I can already tell!

I do would like to have symmetry.. Right now there’s a ridge / bump on the right side, just below my glans. This makes my penis (or at least the glans) bending a bit to the left. The urologist said its nothing to worry about: it would be gone in a few weeks, but I have heard that far to many times now.
Still I trust him. He felt it and all, so..

I think most of my stitches will be out naturally on week 3.
Will keep this thread weekly updated.

I must say madnez, your dick is really nice circumsized, I’m thinking of doing it myself aswell since I got problems with getting my skin behind my glans, but I’m afraid to talk to my doctor I know for 27 years by now. Is that normal or should I just man myself up and go there ? How did you exactly approach your doc with this issue ?

Thanks

Oh and apart from that, a friend of me did it last summer, he said he had tons of erections which hurt him due to stiches and the intense feeling your glans gets. How long should you stay home until it’s fully healed ?

Suzar, it’s really nicely done because I had it done in Belgium.

Here is what you should do: call your nearest hospital, and ask for an appointment with an urologist.
Explain your issue. On average (I guess) a Belgian urologist does about 5 circ’s a day 2 times a week i think!

I was working again after 2 days.

I can’t imagine what problem you are talking about. If you have bouts of paraphimosis (skin bunching up behind the glans and not reverting to a glans-covering state) why have anything amputated? Either ignore it, gently squeeze the glans until the skin goes where you want it, loosen the prepuce with daily application of betamethisone ointment and stretching for a few months, or as a last resort get a non-amputating dorsal slit with transverse closure.

Good Luck,

+ WEEK 2 (and a half actually)

attached pictures from about half a week ago, right after the last stitch fell out.
(sorry again low quality phone pics, will post HQ of fully healed soon)

But in the meanwhile it looks like I’m close to 100% healed.. even though the urologist said that wouldn’t happen before may.
Maybe that accounts for the internal side then, since the outside is looking ok.

It’s a really neat job. There is close to no scarring, and it is just. so. much. better. looking!

I treated it with a mixture of ointment and eosine:
- Usually I used ointment after the shower, before I went out.
- And eosine on normal workdays, twice a day.

Really neat job there. You can be very happy with that. :)

2 months have passed in the meanwhile: no regrets at all!

- no more odors, really clean all the time
- great look
- I already last longer
- girly loves it as well
- no more pains regarding tightness

So.. end good, all good. Happy with it every time I take a pee.

I’m glad you’re happy. So you would call the healing time about 2 weeks, right? I ask because a lot of people try to claim the adult heals slower from circumcision than the infant. I think the only difference is the infant just can’t tell you whether the penis still feels out of sorts at a particular time.

You certainly didn’t have to heal in a filthy diaper, so that’s a plus (in addition to having a choice and having a say about the style of surgery performed).

The last stitches fell out after 2,5 weeks.
But I didn’t have sex until week 6. Internally there is also a healing process, so I figured I better gave it some time.
