My view is that the dorsal nerves that run along the shaft are not as accident prone as the many nerves (twigs) that branch off from these, especially those that branch in large numbers within the glans. I’m starting to realise that I must have stressed some of these twigs within the glans from stretching. Although I have no numbness there is still a tingling sensation that persists. I thought this might be tingling due to overstretching of tissues other than nerves but now that I have a mental image of how the dorsal nerves repeatedly branch within the penis shaft and the glans I’m convinced it’s nearly impossible to give the dick a good workout without damaging some of these twigs. Heavy jelqing will undoubtedly make the shaft less sensitive to touch over time. Whether this sensitivity will return to normal again after a long jelqing career is questionable. Assuming you don’t mind having a desensitized shaft there is still the matter of a desensitized knob from heavy hanging. Now I’m beginning to think vacuum traction at below 2kg might be the only way to prevent nerve damage occurring.

I’m heading for my fourth year of PE and my dick is still fully sensitive.

As for desensitization over time, while certainly possible if you abuse your penis during your PE career, is relatively uncommon it appears. I have not read of vets complaining that their unit has lossed sensitivity after many years of PE.
