Unknown Injury

Hi everyone. About three months ago I received an injury that was possibly PE related. I was jelqing and stretching both while flaccid and while erect.. Bad habit which I’ve stopped doing. Anyways, being 21 and pretty healthy, I have always had the ability to achieve GREAT erections. That was until 4 months ago.

Around that time I noticed my erections getting softer and less frequent. I didn’t have a girlfriend at the time so I didn’t pay much attention and figured everything would resolve itself. About 2 months ago I started dating a friend who I’ve wanted since H.S. We would fool around and even attempt sex every now and then but things always fell through as I would go limp within minutes or not be able to achieve erection at all. This was and is very tough on me psychologically.

That has gone on for 2 months. The girl is still around, which to me solidifies the fact that she cares about me and it’s not about the sex, but I know that she gets disappointed at times.

I’ve gone to four doctors since I started seeing this girl; the prospect of sex has more than put some pep in my step to get this resolved. None of them have run any tests other than asking me about the symptoms and eventually not knowing what to do. So I’m coming to you guys to see if anyone has experienced anything like this.

Like I said for the past few months my penis has been getting less and less hard when erect. Lately I’ve been having problems urinating. I’ll get the urge, tickle to go but it takes me a long time to get a stream out. There is also very little force behind it. The stream is also very sporadic and it feels like I have to “push through” something that’s blocking the path, almost like urinating after a long night of sex. I have noticed that when I ejaculate it comes out clear with chunks, parts being very white and sticky. After ejaculation my penis feels very full and I have started having to jelq afterwards to squeeze out the excess ejaculate that for whatever reason gets “trapped” inside. Lastly, I noticed that something seems to be obstructing the left “half” of my penis. (If you looked straight down at your penis and vertically split it in two) This causes my penis to fill up more on the right side and thus flopping over to the left, like a banana. Although my urologist didn’t think so this seems to be very comparable to Peyronie Disease.

Here’s hoping that someone has heard about these symptoms or has overcome comparable ones themselves. ALL comments, opinions, or random thoughts are very welcome.

I know there is a forum for this but if it could be left here until I get a few comments I would appreciate it. Guys, I’m tired of being 21 and “feeling” like a 60 year old.

I forgot to mention. About 3 weeks ago I was put on antibiotics because the 2nd doctor thought it might be an STD (the tests came back negative) and the antibiotics really helped. I was put on Zithromax and Cipro both one shot dosages and felt a lot better in that my erections were harder and I was able to pee trouble free. In about a week the symptoms came back. I was then put on 10 days of Doxycycline which didn’t improve my condition at all. Going back to the Doc I was prescribed Cipro, since I told him that I had success with the first meds, for 5 days. My erections have improved slightly but everything else is the same.

I haven’t taken Zithromax since the first time because I was told that Cipro and Dox were “better” drugs.

What did the four doctors say they thought it was? Did you tell any of the docs about visiting other docs? Fucking strange that they wouldn’t help you at all. At least throw you a scipt for viagra.

Do you get hard when masturbating?

If your std tests were negative, I wonder what other reason a doctor would prescribe you antibiotics? Going on antibiotics is a majorly bad idea if you don’t need to be on them. Also, you claimed your erections were “harder” after taking an antibiotic? Thats interesting, I wonder if it maybe isn’t sort of a placebo effect; only in this case the placebo is an antibiotic.

The first doc was the urologist. I didn’t tell him about any of the symptoms other than the lumpy mass on the left side of the shaft near the base. Since he didn’t know about any of the internal problems such as the feelings of blockage he said he thought it might be trauma. He didn’t seem too worried about it and said that guys come in “all the time” for curved penises. He did give me a prescription for Viagra which didn’t work until the week that I took the Zithromax/Cipro.

I hard while masturbating and often times get decent morning wood. It’s tough to masturbate, though, as the left side of my penis gets sore and doesn’t engorge with blood as well as the right.

Thanks for the reply Thunder.

I thought about the placebo effect as well. But not only did the antibiotics make my erections harder after taking the first meds all the internal issues were temporarily resolved. Also, I was told to only take 1/4 of a 50mg Viagra since he said I was young and more would probably get me TOO hard for too long. One night before taking the meds I took TWO full 50mg pills and wasn’t able to achieve erection.

I think your best move would be to go back to the urologist, or a different one maybe, and lay all the cards on the table, even the PE joker. Everything you can possibly think of. Don’t take some brush off bullshit either, make the doc do his job. If you don’t understand something he is saying, make him explain it again. Let him know that you are not just there to drop off some money, you want actual service.

Let us know how it goes lithium.

You’re right. I felt like a big pussy after leaving the Urologist. I felt that he was getting everything wrong and was presuming things before I would tell him. Lol. Before asking me any questions or seeing me sans pants he said, “I already know what this is going to be” (He thought it was a varicocele ) I guess I didn’t say anything because for one I had less of a clue as to what this was back then, and, for two, I fell into the submissive patient role.

Fuck that, walk in and inform him or her that you are there for treatment, not the brush off. Take notes too and at the top of your notepad write something like “I am paying him to treat me and I won’t leave until he does” or “Take no prisoners” or some shit to give you a little kick in the ass if you start slipping into submissive again.

You’re right. But in my case my confidence comes from knowledge and, until recently, in the bedroom. :D
Since I didn’t have a CLUE as to what it was, I’m slightly more knowledgeable now, I wasn’t very confident in discussing it. Now that I’m getting more in tune with what’s going on I’m going to be a lot less likely to take that B.S.

Any more suggestions as to what it could be?

I don’t have a clue lithium, but if viagra had trouble springing my puppy into action I sure would find out why. Avocet and westla might know more, hopefully they will stop by. I’ll move this to the Men’s Health Forum, it will probably get more attention there.

You need a new urologist. And don’t be discouraged to hear that, already having seen several doctors. Many urologists are not well-trained in sexual dysfunction. This was a surprise to me, too. You should find one who is. PM me with the largest city near you and I’ll check to see if I can find you a good name.

Part of your problem in finding a solution is being 21. Doctors don’t often think of 21 yr olds either in terms of erectile dysfunction or prostatitis. They think “STD” or possible urinary tract infection, or psychological ED.

Both Cipro and Doxycycline are drugs that reach the prostate. However, a 5 day course of either will not have much affect. 10 days on Doxycycline may or may not as it doesn’t work well on some men. Cipro is usually more effective but you should probably take it for at least two weeks, or more.

You are having trouble peeing so I am thinking prostate involvement. Also, if your prostate is infected, your semen consistency can change, as yours has.

If you haven’t had a digital prostate exam, ask for one. If you have a prostate infection, even a mild one, that can throw everything off and can cause your prostate to swell restricting urine flow and can sometimes affect erections, too. Ask for a urine culture, a five day one, not the usual three day one. A semen culture (five days) will often show more but your doc may or may not want one done. Not a bad idea, too, to have a PSA blood test run – not so much as a prostate cancer check, but because PSA is usually elevated when there is a prostate infection.

When you see your new doctor, take with you a list of all your symptoms. Make a copy and hand it to him. You can go down the list together. You don’t forget anything during the exam and he can zero in more easily on what might be going on. Include the drug treatments you’ve already had and the fact that V worked while on whatever drug but not when off. And as Thunder said, be an aggressive consumer in this case.

Meanwhile, don’t worry. This will be resolvable. Best to tell your new lady what’s going on so she understands that the issue has nothing to do with your attraction to her.

Thanks for your excellent response Avocet.

I hadn’t even considered a prostate problem but looking at the symptoms online is like looking at a grocery list of what I’ve been going through. I went to the doc today, symptoms in hand, and he agreed that it might be a prostate problem. I gave him a urine sample and was instructed to bring in a semen sample on my next appt. (6 weeks from now).

I told him that the Zithromax really helped but he disagreed saying that he never prescribes Zith. For prostate infections and instead gave me a month long Rx of Bactrim DS, which I had never heard of before. I really hope this helps. It’s been a long 4 months of not knowing what was going on, lots of self-diagnosing, over-analyzing, and beating myself up, so it feels really good to be zeroing in on the possible problem. :D

Bactrim can work well and costs less than Cipro. If you don’t get relief within two weeks, inquire as to whether he’d like to switch you to Cipro.

Meanwhile ejaculate often, even if this is initially uncomfortable. Helps to flush out the prostate and seminal vessicles, making the work of the Bactrim easier there being fewer bacteria to fight.

If you have pain (back, perineal), heat pads help.

Let us know how you do.
