2 months in: Surprised, confused, disheartened
First two months
I’m not sure how to begin this. I’m not going to sit here and try to tell anyone that PE doesn’t work. Obviously this works for some people or this wouldn’t be such a huge community. I’m frustrated though, and all I know for sure right now is that two months in, PE hasn’t worked for me. My question is why? I’ve been steadfast and dedicated. I don’t miss workouts. I spend hours on Thunder’s reading, researching, and learning. It didn’t even cross my mind that this wouldn’t work. As I first started out, my only question was how long it would take to reach my goals (several years I thought), not whether or not it would actually work. I figured as long as I stayed patient, consistent, and educated, then it was only a matter of time.
My routine the first month consisted of light stretches throughout the day and about 25 minutes of wet jelqing, one day on, one day off. I measured at the one month mark and didn’t gain a millimeter. Suffice to say, I was bummed, especially considering newbies are supposed to gain fastest. The only change I noticed was increased vascularity. I thought it would be silly to give up after a month though, and figured I just needed to tweak things. I took about 10 days off to make sure I wasn’t overtraining, sought advice on Thunder’s and was back at it for month number two.
During month number two I upped the intensity overall. My routine consisted of a concentration of about 13 minutes of stretches in all directions (instead of random light ones throughout the day) followed by about 23-24 minutes of wet jelqing, two days on, one day off. Once again, I was consistent with the workouts. Expansion was great, the head fully engorged, and I made sure to always apply heat with a mini space heater in front of me while I sat on a heating pad, and PIs were good.
And here we are, month two in the books and still 0 gains. Just some thicker veins. It’s really difficult to get motivated to complete a quarter-year (a third month) of PE when you’ve had no positive reinforcement or reward to show for your effort so far. Two months is probably enough time to know that what you’re doing isn’t going to work for you and that doing it for a third month is a waste of time and effort. I was so motivated the first month. I convinced myself the changes I’d make were going to work the second month. I don’t know how I’d be able to convince myself for a third month. My dick is probably saying “fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me” as I type.
Next options
So what now? Where I live at the moment, I don’t have access to any devices; pumps, ADS, hanging, etc. are out of the question. I figured I wouldn’t even need any of that until several months or even a year into things anyway. I will eventually be back home (the U.S.) though. Do I just forget about PE until then, and then look into PE devices when I get back, some ADS/pumping combo maybe? What about surgery? I always told myself there was no way I’d let a knife near my penis, but if PE doesn’t work for me, which it hasn’t thus far, what other options do I have? I want this too badly to just give up. It seems like surgery is more trouble than it’s worth though, with an inch of gains max, a boner that won’t stand as high, and the possibility of complications. And with a penis that falls short of 6 inches BP, I’d want length first before I’d consider having surgery for girth, the success of which isn’t guaranteed either.
Someone in my progress diary kindly suggested I try the babbis routine. I looked that up and it seemed to be a very light routine meant for people that hadn’t done any PE at all before. Should I take some time off, perhaps a complete deconditioning break (not like I have any gains that I’d risk losing), and then try this babbis routine? Considering how light and infrequent babbis routine workouts are, it feels like putting hope in that would just be clinging to desperation.
I don’t want to give this up, but I also know, as Einstein alluded to, that it would be insane to do the same thing over and over again and expect different results. Therefore, vets, your guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for reading.
