30 Minutes a Day Enough?

Hello everyone,

I haven’t posted in a while, but I have been doing my PE. My routine is and was 30 minutes of static stretching and 600 dynamic side to side stretches. I only target length. As suggested by many wise people on here, I also use heat.

This routine has given me good gains so far: 0.5-1 inches. I can’t say for certain because my starting measurments are wonky.

My question is, “Can I continue with this routine indefinitely?”

I understand newbie gains stop and things slow down, but as long as something is happening, I’d be happy. I don’t really have the time, or frankly the desire, to spend more than that a day.

I know some users have gained over years by just sheer perseverence.

Start (July 2020): BPEL = 5.75; MEG = 5.375; BPFSL = ??

Current: BPEL= 6.5; MEG = 5.375; BPFSL = 6.875

Goal: BPEL = 7.25; Mega-Goal: BPEL = 8.25

I have a feeling that you’ve answered your own question.

That’s right, Don. I agree with you that I answered it. I guess, I always have the routines and tales of other members who have these long, increasingly complex routines.

Of course, it’s impossible to tell if they all needed those routines to gain, or if I just happened to have found something that works for me.

I know weight lifting analogies are fraught, but one thing I remind myself of when thinking about my workout program: Everything works. You just keep doing it. Wondering about minor variation is a waste. I hope and imagine the same applies here. Everything works. It’s all pulling/stretching/etc
