A few unanswered questions for a newbie

A few unanswered questions for a newbie

Hey guys, I’m sort of starting this up again. About 9-10 years ago I briefly used an extender for a few weeks, but found it hard to use, and stopped, although I believe I had slight improvements in length. My main concern was straightening out a bend. I’m 6.5 BPEL right now, but I’ve got a 20-30 degree bend to the left, that I’d like to get sorted out. I’m 30 years old. I have good quality erections, and it doesn’t impede me during sex, but the curve prevents me from going as ‘hard’ as I’d like, out of fear of bending/snapping it. It’s sort of a mental hangup that was creating problems, so I wanted to improve it. If I happen to grow an inch, hey, I won’t complain. My biggest concern, however, was getting this straightened out. Now I would love to go from average to above average, but I have extreme fear of injury. I have ruled out any jelqing for this reason, since based on my research, it’s the most potentially harmful. I may eventually try very light/moderate forms, but have completely abstained. So with that background info, here are my questions.

When I was doing this a decade ago, I just bought a cheap leluv extender, with a bunch of extender rods and a noose. It was dirt cheap, but seems relatively effective, minus my fear of pinching my penis when pushing down on the spring to insert my penis. I have had a few close calls already, and was considering upgrading to a higher end extender for this reason alone. Secondly, the noose is hard for me to use without cutting off circulation, or it falling off. I believe I have a smaller frenulum (yes, I know jelqing helps). I have, however, figured out a technique in the last few days that may seem to be working.

Do you really always have to start with the ‘newbie’ routine?
The general rule here is to start with light exercises and move to appliances later and more rigorous exercise. This contrasts with what I’m reading about Peyronie (I believe based on self diagnosis, that I would be right around the threshold for Peyronie, or just outside of the range), which seems to explicitly recommend extenders. I’ve also read mixed stuff about Peyronie risk with jelqing. I want to make this perfectly clear. Any exercise/routine with the potential to make the curve worse, I want nothing to do with. I am okay with having a 6.5 inch dick, but I’m not okay with having a 40 inch curve preventing me from having sex. So, in short, am I risking injury by just extending for now? I do occasional warmups in the shower, lasting 3-4 minutes. I find I can get way more tension with my hands.

How much tension, should I really feel?
I’ve heard people say that you should feel some tension. I cannot get the extender on right in order to get a similar level of tension to if I were to do it manually in the shower. When I put it on, I feel a bit of tension for a few seconds and it slowly goes away by about 30 seconds. Usually after about 20 minutes, I’ll screw the rods to increase the tension, and feel a slight bit of tension again, that quickly goes away. Is this normal, or is my device simply not providing enough pull? I have only ever used this device, and I believe I was somewhere between 6 to 6.2 before starting a decade ago. I can think of no other explanation for this slight increase, so it seems like it may be working? Just wondering.

Should I upgrade my extender?
Enough background info has been provided for this question. I am just seeing if there are any real advantages. Having an extender with a strap seems like it would make a more ‘even’ pull, which is of the utmost importance with Peyronie. I don’t mind spending 2-300 if I need to, but not if it’s just for marketing. I actually just went back to school, so money isn’t quite as free as it was before.

I have tried relentlessly searching all of these things, to no avail. Either way, this forum has been an amazing source, so thanks for the great material.

Okay I want to be crystal clear; self diagnosis is foolish.

Next jelqing correctly is not harmful. Jelqing gently against the curve could help you.

I would stick around and talk more but my favorite soap opera is on.See ya!

I was just reading about the Phallosan Forte yesterday after hearing about another member here using it. They say on their site that it is really good for straightening. I’ve never used it personally, but the way the belt works, seems like it might be good for you if you go against the curve with it. The other member said it was comfortable and with your curve, you’d probably have to wear an extender for long periods of time so comfort and quality would probably be high on your list of requirements. I’ll be curious to see the progress you make with straightening. Good luck.

START 1-3-2018 @ 7.25" BPEL X 5.5" MSEG - CURRENT = 8.6" BPEL X 6.1" MSEG

ULTIMATE GOAL - 9" BPEL X 6.5" MSEG X Good EQ

Current ROUTINE - Manual work and clamping - Groundswell Progress - 43, new to PE

Have you researched the phallosan forte? I don’t have any experience with it but I’ve heard that it can help with correcting a curve.

Can you provide some of the links you referenced about the potential danger of jelqing?

Okay, I have been ridiculous with the Peyronie’s thing; I have a bend in my penis, call it what you want. It’s roughly around 20 degrees, maybe 30 at the most, but it’s right at the level that it’s totally fine right now, but if it got any worse it could be really bad. How would one jelq, ‘against the curve’? I had considered doing low amounts of very very very light jelqing against the curve, but I wanted to make sure I wouldn’t make it worse. To be completely honest, I work in healthcare, and had a patient once have a permenant penis injury from jelqing, like he could never produce an erection again. It stuck with me. So I’m just honestly terrified of this happening to me.

I have been researching that one, and so far it is in the lead, but my god is it expensive. I have trouble rationalizing spending THAT kind of money if the difference is going to be marginal. From a physiological perspective, I think it’s the perfect design.
The extender I am using does seem to be working, because when it’s extended, only my right side appears stretched (the left has a bit of a curve to it). So in my mind, it’s only stretching the right side to pull it up and make it straight.

The jelqing facts have been found in any site about jelqing. I also work in healthcare and had a patient come in once with a permanent inability to produce an erection from jelqing. I work in mental health to put this in perspective. So it wasn’t good. This has just terrified me to be honest. I understand the physiology behind both traction and jelqing, and it makes sense why jelqing would be worse for you.

Ah gotcha, I just like to read a lot. Most of what I’ve seen points to the dangers of jelqing being ruptured blood vessels and tears/cuts, but I’ve also heard a few people claim that it’s far more dangerous.

Either way, your story about that patient is terrifying!
