A Gay Man Perspective on Average Size

I think the problem whit most of us it’s that the only dicks we know it’s our own and the ones from porn, making us believe a big dick is the average when it’s not, I used to think that as well when I was a virgin but when I started to have sex I realized most of guys are around the 5.7 inches which honestly it’s a pretty good size, I’m around that measure too and never had any complaint, mostly because gay guys really know about the most common sizes.

What do you guys think about that?

I guess you mean NBPEL then and that is from “handling” dicks with hands, mouth and the possibility to compare with your own. I ask you that because most men have +1 inch fatpad and if 5.7 is NBPEL then average in your opinion would be +6.7 BPEL and that is way over documented average. My own opinion is that average is around 6.5 BPEL and 5.5 NBPEL.

What do your experiences tell you about girth?

As a gay man myself I have the opinion that the average BPEL is in fact under 6”. I have had plenty of guys tell me they were 7+ but then ended up being smaller than myself and I am only around 6.5” BPEL. For average girth I would guess it’d be around 5” maybe a bit more. I do believe that height and overall body size plays a huge roll in perceived size. My last ex was 5’ 5” tall and I’d guess his size to be 5.5” x 5” but on him it looked like a good size. Another ex I had was 5’ 7” and he was 6” long and it looked large especially since he had pretty small hands. Between friends and exs though I’ve only seen around 15 guys that I’d be confident I could comment on the size of so a pretty small pool anyway.

TLDR; I’d guess the average dick size to be around 5.5” x 5” and body size seems to be the biggest role in perspective size.

I am lucky, my Wife has small hands and I have skinny legs compared to the build of my upper body.

As a bi guy I’d say the average that comes out of the non self-reported studies/statistics is spot on. Bone pressed length is around 5.7” and girth around 4.6”.
Even with over 30 years of experience I’ve only ever seen one penis around 8” BP and only one (a different one) anywhere close to 6” girth. Unsurprisingly after so many years on this site, I’m pretty good at judging size.
That’s why I lol when I read about all these women with the ‘huge ex’. In the vast majority of cases it’s female psychology bs, which even the most honest and trustworthy women seem to engage in; one of the ‘perks’ of being bi or gay is you get to talk to women about these things 🙂.
And when I see straight guys who think average size is much greater than it really is, I conclude either they were born with a large penis and have penis dysmorphia that won’t let them accept the fact, or they have no experience of penises in real life and have grown up watching porn.

(I don’t know how true it is, but I hear that in the USA boys even shower in their shorts at some schools, which seems ridiculous to anyone in Europe, but maybe explains why some people have only porn and their own penis to base their thoughts about size on, which is bound to make people believe the average to be larger than it really is. Maybe inexperienced women do the same?).

I am not gay but I have seen a lot of dicks in real life because I went boarding school and we all used to shower together in a huge bathroom with no partitions. On that note I will have to disagree with your estimates because most people were about my size. I remember a lot of us simultaneously measuring our dicks and me being about average. There were a few number of people bigger than me but only a very small number were significantly smaller. I have to add that I went high school in Nigeria so the myth that africans have naturally larger dicks might be true. Otherwise I am and was suffering from body dysmorphia that warped the way I saw things.

There were over 100 boys in my year and they were all boarders so its quite a large sample size. Of course there’s also the very high possibility that we were all still growing and I ended growing larger than most.

While the average length it’s pretty much agreed on in this times even anatomically since most vaginas are around 4.5” deep but really elastic and can get around 7” deep during sex if needed but not necessarily since filling it it’s enough for pleasure, but the girth it’s more difficult to decide since it seems to be really subjective.

Just like dicks, girls come in all sizes, if your dick is too long you just don’t go all in, but what if is too thick?.

When it comes to length pretty much everyone agrees that the bigger the better, but in girth it seems that the saying should be: The more average the better.

So the conclusions that I get from this information are:

Any length that’s is 5”+ it seems to be good, if you are too long your partner can request you not to go all in and the problem it’s solved, so guys let’s go for those length gains.

The hardness of a dick seems not to be really thought about when in reality seems to be important, focusing on having a strong erection and being able to maintain it should be priority to all men, since most of the pleasure from the receiving part would depend on it.

When it comes to thickness the 4.59” to 4.65” seems really reasonable to me, just have in consideration not everyone would take a really thick dick but they’ll say yes to a long one, which takes me to my next point.

The objectification of the large dick:
Talking whit boys and girls about dick size most of us agreed a big dick at first sparks curiosity and admiration, and maybe you’ll like to try how it feels, but most of people won’t settle for a big dick, all of us agreed a big dick is nice for casual sex and if you have one it would attract a lot of people but most probably not a steady partner, my circle of friends including girls a boys said a 7.5”+ dick would attract them for a night but for a partner they would prefer something in the 5.5” to 6.5” range.

And this kind of objectification doesn’t only comes from the receiving part also by the carrier of the tool, my friends said the biggest dick they have been whit was also the most boring and one sided sex, it seems a guy whit a big dick expects that to be enough and doesn’t put more effort or doesn’t bring really exciting situations to bed.

So in conclusion:

The only truth about dicks is: The harder the better.

Your size is probably fine, if you are below average don’t worry and be constant whit PE.

If you are big, and you want to get bigger, that’s amazing just don’t forget your dick it’s just one aspect of the many that make a good sexual encounter unforgettable.

That could be the case, I have to best friends we all are the same age, when we where 12 or 13 we all compared our dicks, let’s call them A and B and I’ll be C

A was the smaller around 10 cm
C was in the middle around 12cm
B was the largest 14cm

When we were 20 we compared dicks again and

A was the biggest
While B and C where the same length

So yeah A ended up being the biggest, he was also the shortest almost 3 inches shorter than B and C and now we all are almost equal height, it seems B’s dick didn’t grow and C grow 2 cm.

So it seems measuring during puberty it’s not good idea since we all grow in different ways.

I have to fully agree with this one, I remember when I was in 8th grade a bunch of boys I sat near in class had all agreed they were going to go home and measure their dicks, I went home and did the same and wasn’t even 4in so I wouldn’t draw any conclusions from any measurements taken before the age of 18.

Yh that seems very likely to be honest. Also I did some memory searching and they were over 100 people (not boys) in the year, but more boys than girls so about 60 boys.

Lool firegoat it wasn’t an all boys school, girls and boys had separate living quarters but every other aspect was mixed. My parents actually made me take an entrance exam to an all boys school but I failed it on purpose😭
