Hello,

I started hanging yesterday. 1 lb for 2 20 minute sessions.
First off I couldn’t get my semi erection down so I heeded the advice of some and just continued.
Afterwards I felt a nice fatigue but also like my lower abs has been pulled or as if a nerve in my stomach had been effected. It worried me a little.

I practice reverse kegels, is this affecting my hanging?

What type of hanger are you using?

It may well be just ligament ache from hanging and getting used to the tension.

I remember my first day. Amazing that I could feel the tension of 1 lb. Ignore every thread that says to add 1lb per week.
Stay lite, go slowly and add heat.

The ache radiates to my lower abs, and my lower back, and sometimes to my feet. Is this normal? I bet it is the workings of nerves
I will take a break now as this ache makes me perplexed, also it manes believe I am messing with natures course. It is not painful I just I feel how sensitive it is, like testicle tender.

I have looked at other threads here and It does not calm me down. Sciatic nerve problem seems to be reported and fixable though.

Referred pain is normal, yes.

But you’re not describing pain, right? If it feels like you might feel when you do an unfamiliar exercise then maybe you moved into it a little fast but it’s probably OK. I’d let it settle and start back with a lower weight or lower session time and just one session. You are trying to stretch stuff though, so you expect to feel something from that. Pain is bad but anything below pain in the ache category is often a good thing.

Well, I have been opening my mind to possibility and as you state. No pain, just discomfort. I really feel like this is me saying hello to the nerves down there.

I pay respect to the nerve but will move on with hanging in a couple of days, perhaps lower om time and on weight. I think it had to to with me doing hanging with to much erection, so I will heed on having much flaccid
