After 18 Months Off.

Hi Crew,

Just a quick few questions.

I am looking to start back into PE after 18 months break. Just prior to stopping I purchased an LG Hanger.

My questions are based around pre-conditioning to then start with the hanger. Is a conditioning routine needed before getting (gently) into hanging? What is recommended as a routine? (Happy to hear an easy answer of Beginners Routine if appropriate) But more so, how long would be recommended to stick at any pre-conditioning routine before being good to go on hanging?

Last time round over 9-12 months of a manual routine I gained modestly in length and girth but it was enough to be very encouraging. The only drawback was I also picked up some tennis/golfers elbow inflammation as well. I’m happy to do some manual stretching to get conditioned but am somewhat keen to get into hanging to ensure that the tendinitis doesn’t flare up again.

Any wise words from the long-hung and well-hung amongst us?

A

A months worth of conditioning would reduce the chance of injury.

Cheers

And Beginners Routine would be fine for that you think? Covers most bases for prepping for hanging?

Yes, totally. Just make the switch as easy and fr8ctionless as possible. Two months of Newbie Routine would be more than enough to get yourself in shape. Then mix your techniques for a month until you are confident enough to ditch stretching and keep in hanging with modest weights. Consider some jelqing too, to improve blood flow.

Starting point - 15.5 centimeters BPFLS=BPEL, 12 cm. MSEG /// Goal: 20 cm BPFLS, 18 cm BPEL, 14 cm MSEG

Thanks Champ! Great advice. I’ll take that route. Cheers!
