I am interested in purchasing my first ir lamp but I could really use some direction. As with most people money seems to be getting tighter and tighter, and I want to make sure that I make a good investment. Are there any lamps out there that are head and shoulders above the rest? I would really appreciate recommendations from anyone who has first hand experience with ir lamps. Thanks so much for all that you guys do, this is a great site.
The Philips PAR38 150W is one of the best for warming tissue, You will have to have the stand for it of course. But cover your balls when using it as you don’t want to heat those up .
Use it about 15 inches from your unit and adjust for the most comfortable warmth

I’ve had mine so many years I don’t know where would be best to get one now; just search for Philips HP3616. I’ve seen them on Amazon and various other sites. For some reason they don’t seem to sell them at Philips own online shop.

I’ve read this in every IR post.. Is the heat danger to the balls permanent? Or will it just kill a few sperm ?

Also I’m having some trouble finding a 150w bulb, any thoughts on this one.
