Alternatives to silicone lube?

I love silicone lube for its long lasting effect and slippery feel without getting tacky, but after using it for several weeks of PE, I’m noticing that it negatively affects the skin on my glans. It seems to wrinkle the skin and causes some of the skin to flake off in tiny bits. If I stop using silicone lube, the skin heals up. And if I restart using silicone lube, the condition reappears.

So I need a good alternative. One that I can use for jelqing and vacuum pumping (so nothing petroleum based as that would damage the cylinder). If it works well for sex, that’s a bonus.

Do you guys use water-based lubes and just keep a spray bottle handy to re-wet the lube? I find water-based lubes dry out very quickly and get tacky. Anyone use a water/silicon mixed lube?

With water based lubes I would just keep a bowl of warm water handy to dip my fingertips into when necessary to keep the lube slick.

It may be odd but I use something called aquaphor its kind of a mix between vasoline and lotion. Gives great control over blood I am working inside of penis. Its not thin like lube and adds tons of moisture to skin. I love it especially while in shower. I have used lubes before but for me it is hands down better. Pricey but worth it I thhink, probably petroleum based

I’m using vaseline in the tube, it’s great for the skin. Difficult to clean out of the tube, but I wash my unit before and after so I can just leave the excess lube in the tube.

I’ve done water-based too and can second that it takes a lot of re-wetting.

Another fantastic lube is Albolene. It is called a moisturizing cleanser because woman use it to clean make up off their face, but it is an incredible lube for jelqing and it stays super slick forever. Once you are done, you can just wipe the excess off your skin with a paper towel and just leave the residue as it is a skin moisturizer. For the cylinder, just use warm water and a liquid dish soap. You can find it at Walgreens or other drug stores.

Go with coconut oil. Is great and really healthy for your skin. I wouldnt use anything chemical based.

The bowl of warm water is much more convenient than the spray pump for jelqing. But after using water-based lube for the first time in years, I am reminded why I stopped. It dries out so quickly. When jelqing after applying some water, it would go from slippery to too dry to jelq in a matter of a minute or so. And because the moisture level and thus friction level was changing so rapidly, I couldn’t get into a good jelqing rhythm. I suppose I have been spoiled by silicone lube in that regard. I really don’t know how anyone uses water-based lube for this. What a total pain in the ass.

Do you warm it up in the microwave first? Seems like it would make an oily mess.

Is it safe for cylinders? I suppose it probably is since it’s not petroleum based.

I tried pure coconut oil the kind solid at room temp. couldnt stand the smell (not a coconut fan) and it seemed to dry quickly. Maybe im just totally in love with aquaphor. haha

Yes it needs to melt usually this can be done in a saucwpan with hot water. ..fraid I dont use microwave. It can make a mesz same as any lube can.

Yes I use it with my silicone and my cylinder. ..no problems
