Hello all, I am new here to the PE forums, but I am DEFINITELY glad I stumbled across this little haven of information and helpful members!

I thought I’d take a little time to introduce myself and explain why I am here, what my goals are, etc.

First of all, I am 20 years old and I’ve had to deal with a smaller-than-average penis all of my life. I hate being judged on it by girls, which is what lead me here. My current measurements are 5.5 inches in length (measured with a ruler from the base of my shaft above my penis), and 4.375 inches girth. I’m not to keen on the terms for measurement yet, but hopefully you have an idea from those numbers. Anyway, I started the Newbie Routine today in hopes of achieving my confidence-boosting goal of 6.5x5, and my long-term goal of the infamous 8x6.

I had a couple quick questions, though:

I know I should quit, but does smoking hinder gains at all? I smoke about 10-15 cigarettes on a daily basis.

Also, my penis isn’t cylindrical. It is wider than it is tall, but I definitely would like it to be cylindrical. Is there a way to focus girth gains in such a way that would make it taller rather than wider?

Anyway, I thank you for taking the time to read this and I look forward to a healthy PE lifestyle in the future :)

Hello, and welcome! You came to the right place. Smoke = hinders everything. Wider than tall: yes there are exercises that may help (eg dry jelqs, pumping)… but why bother, wider is better ;)

Hello rolfnade, welcome to the forum.

There are many opinions on smoking. I have been both a smoker and non smoker during the time I have PE’d. Smoking affects erection strength for many people, and may cause slightly longer recovery and tissue regeneration. The more oxygen and nutrients the penile tissues receive, the more optimum their regeneration and health.

You are still young and hopefully fit and healthy, so the negative effects of smoking may not be a problem to you yet. At 39 I have been a lifelong athlete and ‘on and off’ smoker! Ridiculous but true. I really wish I had totally stopped at your age, for many reasons, but I don’t think it has ever affected my PE gains.

As for making your penis ‘taller’, the Corpus Spongiosum which runs along the bottom of your penis is usually much faster to grow than the Corpora Cavernosa on the sides of your penis, so you will most likely find that any girth exercises will have the effect you desire. If you already have width, count yourself lucky.

Stop smoking, its bad plainand simple. I wouldnt say it reduces gains as such but it does reduce erection quality because of the low levels of oxygen in your body. Modify your girth routines to suit your needs.

I chain smoke and if it has any effect on my erection quality my dick would probably explode if I stopped smoking.

Smoking while you are PEing might be problematic if, for example, you are wet jelqing and smoking you will in all likelihood get lubricant on the cigarette or ash on your dick if you can keep it (your cigarette) in your mouth all the time and you’ll need an ashtray big enough to spit butts into and maybe a foot controlled lighter and a rack of cigarettes at head hight.

Other than that I don’t see a problem.

5.5 inches in length bone-pressed or non-bone pressed? Either way, members have started with less than you and have gained.

To keep things in perspective, remember that some would be happy to finish with what you’re starting with. Get a bone pressed measurement early on for future reference. If you have the opportunity to do so, get a picture or two, even if they’re only for yourself and no one else in the world ever sees them. They’ll be a useful reality check and standard of comparison to confirm that you are indeed gaining when you check down the road.

Just remember - persistence, patience and consistency are your friends. So is not overdoing it, however tempting it can be. Stay with the newbie routine and stick with doing it. Some have gained sooner, and for some it has taken more time, but I don’t know of anyone who’s done the newbie routine and not had a healthier penis to show for it.

My biggest word of advice….persistence. If you want to get to your goals, you will get there. When cannot be answered, but if you are persistent you will eventually get there. Best of luck on your gains!

Hello I’m Kingpole, I started at 5.5” bone pressed. And really stretching it, to get that measurement. I had been lurking on TP for several months before I joined in 1/05. Over two years later things much improved.

Believe it or not your current size is normal,nothing to be ashamed of. Most people do grow their penis the rate of growth varies from man to man.
We will be glad to assist you in anyway.

Awesome, your gains are an inspiration to me. Do you remember any of the routines you used when you first started out? And how did you gradually add on more advanced techniques?

Just a quick update:

I was PE’ing regularly from when I joined to late June, when I had to travel for quite some time and didn’t really have time for PE other than a few manual stretches here and there.

I have been home for about three weeks, doing the Newbie routine as suggested, and things seem to be going well. I’m even starting to notice a few new veins popping up, which from what I hear is a good thing!

I figure I’m going to take my “first” measurements on September 1, and then gradually increase the number of Jelqs in my routine as well as adding a few more stretches in.

Anyway, it’s great to be back, and wish me luck!
