Any research/ideas about time between workouts?

Hey guys!

I workout two times a day on training days => 1h of hanging each.

Ideally, I try to keep the time between two workouts >9h.

However, sometimes I have only 5h between two workouts.

Is there any solid evidence for how long the minimum time should be between the two sessions?

I would greatly appreciate your thoughts about this :-)

Plus you need to take rest days when you do nothing. Lots of different schedules that can be tried, like 1 day on, 1 day off, or 2 on 1 off, or 3 on 1 off or any of many combinations that you will find work best for you.


The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

I know both of you are very knowledgeable and I take your answer to heart.
It turns my whole concept with the twice a day completely upside down.
The problems I currently have is 1) it works well currently and I make gains.
On the other hand, if I halved the time commitment it could also be useful.
I take two rest days a week, so that is fine.

I’m strongly thinking about doing just one workout a day and see how my BPFSL develops.
But it is crazily hard to change sth mentally that works.

I’m going to go against the grain a little bit. In my personal experience doing a split session can actually work very well. With that being said 2 hours of doing PE in a day is quite a bit. Hanging would be the exception. I think it kind of depends on your actual routine. I’m hanging now and have been for 6 months this go around. I do about 45 minutes in the morning and another 45 minutes before bed. It’s working well and I’ve gained a bit in that time.

If you are doing a lot of jelqing, hard stretching, pumping or clamping then I would stick with once a day. I’ve tried doing a split routine with some of the above in the past and it’s just too much.

Are you saying once a day 2h, once a day 1h? I read some routines that split into half in the morning and half in the evening. Assuming only hanging.

Taking a routine and splitting it up to twice a day is not the same as taking a routine and doing the exact same thing a second time in the day. The first does not add stress to your penis as there is no change to the work load on the penis, while the second one is doubling the work load and has a greater chance of over stressing and possibly injuring your penis.

Goal: Improved/consistent EQ while managing ED. Secondary: maintain current stats.

I did my own research and went through my notes and I’m doing the experiment to only hang once/day.
For 14 days, I will see where it takes me in the end. Currently, I am able to gain 4mm in 14 days of BPFSL, so I’m extremely happy.
However, I realize I may overdo it and stress my penis so much that I may hinder future gains.

It is mentally so extremely incredibly tough to change sth if your routine works so well (for a hard gainer like me these results are great),
but I will update this post in approximately 2 weeks and share my results with you guys.
From a scientific perspective and from the vast amount of experience from you guys, once a day should really be better.

When one is expanding their workout regime it is best to do so incrementally while paying close attention to the feedback from their penis. You have a greater chance of identifying your max level of workout without surging past into the injury zone.

When you first start PE it is not unusual to get some quick gains that we call a newbie pop. Unfortunately the tendency is for these rapid results to slow significantly as you progress, so keep that in mind. But I’ll cross my fingers that you continue with your very good start.

I think you can do two sessions a day without any trouble. Titleist use to pump for hours and some guys use extenders for 10 hours a day. It makes no logical sense to me why your routine would be bad in any way as long as you keep the load low and safe.

You are gaining and you probably wouldn’t do that if your work where to much for your penis.

I spread my PE throughout the day. As others have mentioned, stay within the safe range of any given exercise technique and listen to your PI’s.

Then again, I’ve been plateaued for some time, so maybe once a day is better;-).

I have tracked in excel every exercise and minute of PE since July 2016 and it’s still really not that much data.

I see I have opened a can of worms :-D.

In the end, I think I have to try it for the whole month of february and track my BPFSL.

I will definitely update you guys on the beginning of march.

I’m just a single data point, but this question is interesting for sure.

That’s how I have always seen my personal experience. It is too isolated, so it is extremely challenging to account for variables.

But we get indications and then can begin to compare amongst the community to get a broader understanding.

Other than collecting data, much of my personal approach to PE is like a bull in a china shop.

We need those who have the analytical capability and time to take more measured approaches, it’s how we develop and move forward.

I certainly don’t have the answer to your question.

It’s a fine question.
