Any thoughts on Bathmate pumps?

Any thoughts on Bathmate pumps?

Quick intro, I’m about 7.2bpel x 5.3eg and I’m thinking about investing in the Bathmate Hercules.

I’m mainly interested in using this as a tool in my current routine to help with girth gains. This will be my introduction to pumping and there’s a few things I’m apprehensive about that I was hoping some of you could help me with.

1. Pressure - I’m mainly considering the Hercules because it seems like the most reasonable max pressure at about .33 bar/9.6hg. I know that pumping at that is not advisable but that max seems a lot safer than the x40 that has .55 bar or something like that which could easily cause damage. I obviously wouldn’t be pumping at the max but it seems like it’d be a lot more manageable to get a safe pressure with the Hercules vs. The x40 or any of the pricier models that have higher max pressure.

Since the Hercules doesn’t have any sort of gauge what’s a good rule of thumb as far as “how much pressure is too much”? Is it just something you feel or is it just guess and check?

2. Size - On bathmate’s site it says 5-7 will work with the Hercules but 7-9 also works with the x40. Does anyone in my ballpark have any experience with the Hercules? Was it a tight fit, or a good place to start? Will I be able to get any length gains comfortably or will I start to get pinched pretty quickly? I don’t want to rush into the x40 because of the additional pressure but I also don’t want to drop $110 on something I’ll only be able to use briefly.

3. Gains - I’ve seen a lot of posts that are something like “I used this for 3 months and didn’t get any permanent gains” but a lot of the these reviews seemed to be written by people who used the Bathmate as their primary method as PE, and not who included it in a regular PE routine. So have any of you had any success with permanent gains? Any manual exercises you started to incorporate to enhance the effects of pumping or help to make some of the gains more permanent?

4. Alternatives - Are there are other hydro based pumps worth looking into? I’ve heard the penomet is basically the same thing but with more bad review in terms of quality/reliability. I know some of you are going to say dry pump but something I can use in the shower is necessary and Bathmate seems pretty discrete.

I had a Hercules and now have an X40. Some people don’t like the Bathmate on here, but I’ve had nothing but good experiences with mine. At 7.2” by 5.3”, you will want to go bigger than the Hercules. You will start getting painful red rings around the base of your dick, as it really expands under vacuum.

The main problem with the Bathmate is it has no pressure gauge, so you never really know what pressure you are pumping at and I know for sure you can pump them up high enough to cause damage.

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

How big were you when you made the switch? How’s your experience with the X40 in terms of gains?

Also, Gprent, do you know of any hydro based pumps with a gauge or is it just not a thing?

I made the switch at 5.5 girth, but should have done it at 5.25. Also, max BP length in a Hercules is about 7.5”, and you are almost there. I like the X40, but seriously doubt it produces any more vacuum than the Herc.

Okay yea my main concern was the “inch for growth” statement on their website didn’t seem accurate due to the shape of it. I’m considering starting out with the x40 since it’d be cheaper in the long run.

How are you incorporating it into your routine?

I have been doing a weird routine that is really extreme. Definitely not for new guys. But I warm up in the Bathmate for five minutes, do my workout, then climb in the tub and do the Bathmate for twenty minutes. You could do the same with a warm up, a few minutes of stretches, a few minutes of jelqs, and then ten minutes of Bathmate pumping. You should be a bit careful your first few sessions. I think you would have to be ignoring some really serious warning signs, as far as actually ignoring pain, in order to injure yourself with a Bathmate. The bellows is a self-limiting means of pumping, and you cannot exceed a certain vacuum level.

Also, here is a link to a super long diary/log I kept when I was pumping as a main means of PE.

Raybbaby’s Bathmate log and expansion study

Thanks so much for the info!

My idea was after getting the pump take a week off of my regular routine and do a few light sets of 10-15mins of total pumping to get myself acclimated to the feeling then start to incorporate my regular routine of stretches/jelqs.

How would you say your bathmate routine effected your EQ?

I’m lurking through some posts on this site and I’m getting closer and closer to pulling the trigger on the X40.

It’s a good warm up/ warm down tool. It gave me great temp gains but it doesn’t do much as a stand alone for permanent results. My biggest issue is that it’s soooooo overpriced. I prefer a pump with a gauge, but at this point I can get a feel for the pressure without one.

I own a bathmate that I barely use (maybe as a warm-up) and I just invested in a good pump (velseal)that was reccomend by veterans here.

I plan to use the velseal as a precision device as part of my routine. Without a guage it makes consistent training harder. Also I don’t like the plunjer action of the bathmate. Or how it covers up a good portion of your cock. I like monitoring how everything is going.
