Thanks guys, ah yeah, all valid points and makes sense. No wonder ANS appears to be largely uncharted territory due to those risks. That being said, it might still potentially work, but under very specific restrictions. Like light tension only, no hard devices (so basically this leaves things like the soft sleeves, maybe attached to the torso so that your unit is straight up against your stomach and nothing can get in between), and maybe an alarm every 3 hours just in case.
The only pain I could imagine in this scenario might be the glans having fallen asleep. But I’ve had my entire arms fall asleep many times due to sleeping positions, and at a certain point it just wakes me up naturally, and there’s no harm done.
I can also see a problem where things slip out and the tension is completely lost, but you don’t notice it because you’re asleep. In that case no harm done either.
It’s still an interesting proposition in my view because it completely frees you up during the day and you can potentially rack up a lot of hours under tension per week, but looks like it might take some creativity and a lot of risk-mitigating to pull off safely.
