Anyone with starting girth below 5? What's your progress?

I’ve noticed that most of the PE’ers here started with a girth above 5 inches. Even if that seems to be above the actual average, it’s been a little discouraging, as the most I’ve ever been (pre-PE’ing, mind you) is 4.7 or 4.8.

I was wondering- for other guys who started off in similar circumstances- what kind of progress were you/have you been able to make in your own girth?

Moreover (and given that I’ve spent a couple of months jelqing/conditioning already) are there any girth exercises that worked best for increasing mass for smaller starting girths?

I ask because I wonder if different girths react better to different sets of exercises.

I started at 4.75” which is right at the median and gained more that 1/2” of girth. I probably lost a bit due to lack of training but I’m getting back to it.

Take your time. Conditioning and learning your body’s reaction/tolerance is critical. Eventually start adding in squeezes and ulis. I swear by supra slammers but I suspect that months of conditioning (and incorporating the occasional all-day cock ring, fulcrum stretch with golf weights, flaccid bends, etc.) prepared me for a demanding girth-focused manual routine.

Many guys wish they had your 7” BPEL to start….


11/20/2011: BPEL: 6", MEG: 4.75" (goal BPEL: ~7", MEG: 5.25")

5/9/12: BPEL: 6.5", MEG 5" (goal BPEL: 7.25", MEG: 5.5")

3/5/13: BPEL: 6.875", MEG 5 5" (max goal BPEL: 7.5", MEG: 5.75")

I started at below 4.5 and I’ve gained almost half an inch. I basically did a modified version of the newbie routine just increasing reps and I do manual stretches, jelqing, and a few intense exercises like “horse squeezes” or sadsaks “Slinky” exercise. V jelqs help a lot with girth gains also.

I’ve switched to hanging as of late and I’m seeing girth increase as well as length in a very short amount of time. I’ve been doing low weight because I’m afraid to injure myself but the low weight is working fine.

I recommend first and foremost to properly condition, a good 6 months of newbie exercises and jelqing, then move on to more intense exercises if you’re comfortable. Just don’t overdo it. You’ll be satisfied in due time. 😁

I started with 4.4” MSEG and after five years of pumping, my wife and I now enjoy 5.5”

For first four years I pumped twice a day at 5 hg for 20 minutes and once a week pumped for 45 minutes at 4 hg. Last year only once a day for 20 minutes but still once a week for 45 minutes.

so the first year your pump more than the second, did you still gain in the secong year even if you weren’t progressive?

did you complement it with anything else?


When conguering a golddigger you need a large bank account, when conquering a dickdigger you need a large tool. When conquering a woman you need a minimum of three things: money, class and yes: dick size. Good news are, you can actually improve in all these three aspects.

I have found girth to be the most difficult. I started at 4.5 and only have made it to 4.75 from mainly stretches and jelqs. My goal is 5.5. I just started a pump routine and working at getting to 5” this year.

Current: BPEL: ~ 6.75" MSEG: ~4.75" BG: 4.825" BPFSL: 7"

Initial Goal: NBPEL: 7" EG: 5" Long Term Goal: 7.5" x 5.25-5.50"

I started out under 4.5” MEG not 100% sure due to not measuring properly. More specifically, using a steel tape measure rather tailors tape.

Anyhow, just over a year later I’m just under 5” MEG (5.5 BEG) and very happy with the results.

Thanks memento. I have been lurking here for some time and thought it time to take the plunge, sign up and make a donation although I haven’t quite gotten that far yet. This is a fantastic community and posters such as yourself are a huge part of it.

Back to the thread, I never knew my girth was below average until spent some time here. I am above average length which must have counted for something and I am greatful for that. The thing I have noticed with my newbie gains is that it is the half inch girth gain has made more of an difference in how it looks rather than the length gains. I do have a mathematics background so that shouldn’t really have been a surprise.

It’s hard to think of simple things like volume calculations if you have a mathematical background. The PE database here is a slightly creaky but good method of tracking that (though it models a cylinder and uses a single diameter). Your point is well made though, girth gains provide much greater displacement in your chosen receptacle. In some ways it’s also important to not get caught up in the fetishisation of gains here, with ever increasing numbers becoming a new norm.

You are off to a good start becoming one of those posters who make this community what it is. Carry on.

I never listed my exercises before - pretty much the newbie routine minus the heat pack (just not convenient for me). I generally exercise in a hot shower instead

First 6 months 4 times a week
5 mins stretches
120 - 150 jelqs

Topped up a couple of sessions of 2 minute stretches, some of Tom Hubbard’s inner penis pulls and 40 jelqs in toilet breaks at work. Initially dry jelqing, but more recently have been using Vaseline - the small pots they sell for chapped lips are quite inconspicuous.

Next 6 months was more of the same but with a few Ulis and power jelqs. Over the past 3 months I have also added Horse 440s and plump bends.

I think it is safe to say less is more for me. My biggest noticeable came I after a break of 3 weeks or so due to being preoccupied by having a family member in hospital. I woke up with morning wood one day and was like “Woh”.

Heat is important but many people use showers. Personally, I found the showers were a less effective source of heat than a hot wrap. As long as your penis is feeling more maleable after application of heat and massage, which may be an indication of tissues relaxing, you are probably on good form. But you know that by now.

Nice progression and buildup. You should be getting good gains by now, so how is it working out?

Horse440s are brilliant but they are also a good source of injury. If you attach your base grip just below the glans, fairly loosely, and - with both grips in place - push down the shaft to the base, it’s possible to flatten the veins before pumping up with kegels. This may reduce the chance of injury. But maybe you know this already :)

Good tip - I will try to visualise this when I next exercise and see how close I am too it! The first time I tried horse 440s the intensity surprised me (even though I knew I had to take it slowly and carefully). Immediately afterwards it was fine, but as the day went on I knew it had been a little too much perhaps so rested for a few days and gradually built up from there. Had a similar experience when adding Ulis as well.

From measuring household items retrospectively I believe I started out around 4.4 MEG and now just above 4 15/16. BPEL has gone from 6.875 to 7.75. When I started this my goal was 7.5BPEL and anything girth wise was a bonus. Now I’m just focussing on girth but still getting length gains as well.

Very happy with how it’s all worked out but feel a little bad for the guys on here who are far more committed and put in a lot more hours than me and struggle to get gains. I literally do no more than 10-15 minutes 3 times a week.
