This has been a very interesting and amusing topic however, there are several aspects of having a foreskin which have not been mentioned so far and which many cut men are in ignorance of. This is important because this procedure is often carried out needlessly without anaesthetic on tiny boys who never get the chance to decide if they actually want to be mutilated in this way. In societies where the norm is to circ. Babies there is much ignorance about what the foreskin really is so mothers cannot make an informed decision for their sons later sexual well being.
The foreskin is NOT just a piece of skin,.it has it’s own blood supply system with veins and blood cells and is VERY sensitive to stimulation having a similar collection of nerve endings to the glans. This makes the foreskin a highly erotic organ in it’s own right. The feeling of any stimulation of the foreskin is distinctly different to stimulation of other parts of the penis and this changes again as erection tightens the foreskin around the glans.
I have a long foreskin which makes a small ‘bunched’ projection off the head when not erect. This is as shown typically in Greek staues. Any light brushing of the outer soft end of my foreskin is a highly erotic feeling which brings me to erection very quickly. The sensitive area is in the outer edge of the hood where the skin starts to turn inside. As I get erect the glans fills out my hood and this sensitive edge is stretched around the glans and become even more sensitive to stimulation. The foreskin acts as a sort of preparatory erotic zone and then, once erection is established, as another ring of nerve endings stretched around the penis below the sensitive ‘rim’ of the head/glans.
Obviously, I cannot know what it is like to be without my foreskin, but I can easily understand that without it stimulation would be far less in area and very different in it’s quality. Incidentaly, although circumcision is rare here in the UK and only carried out on indigenous boy babies for medical reasons, the surgeons frequently try to retain a fold of foreskin below the glans so that the nerve endings of the area around the frenulum are retained. This is not as photogenic as the ‘American’ circ. So prevalent in US porn videos, but is presumably more sensitive in adulthood.
As regards to cleanliness, it is true that the foreskin is a potential trap for bacteria and requires frequent care, however, I have personally met more than one woman who had an equal ‘problem’..
Some of the downsides of foreskin ownership are that the glans is very sensitive as the hood is pushed back and if it comes into contact with clothing or female fingernails during foreplay this is quite offputting! Condom use is MUCH more difficult than it would be with the foreskin removed as you not only need to get things on in the right place but the hood must be carefully placed also. As the foreskin slides during intercourse so the condom slides against the foreskin which can easily get awkward. The biggest danger with a foreskin which hangs off the head of the penis is that it is all too easy to accidentally catch it in ones fly zip, as I once did on a dark mountainside while wearing several layers of arctic clothing,.you only make this mistake once however as the word ‘agony’ does not begin to cover the subject!!
The attitudes of women to foreskins is a whole topic in itself,.I recently read about an American woman who had had both her sons circd. But secretly harboured a desire to have sex with an uncircd. Man because foreskins are so “disgustingly filthy and degenerate”.
