Can't stay erect while jelqing

I can’t seem to stay erect while jelqing—I go from 0% to 100%, and it’s hard to stay in between.

I’m not using porn—and I think I would like to keep it that way. I read kegeling helps, and I tried that a bit, with limited success.

I just wonder if anyone can give advice on how to stay 50-60%, or whatever the ideal range for jelqing is. I really don’t want the baseball bat effect, but I hate it when I have to keep stopping with the jelqs because I go limp.

You have to learn how. This is something you haven’t done before so your dick doesn’t know how to respond. Eventually you will get the desired erection level.

I am not very experienced at all but I had to call an end to my porn detox due to this, I found it to much to concentrate on proper strokes whilst staying aroused. Perhaps thats just some people though…


Currently 6.5 NBP 5.5EG.

I can stay erect—at about 100% no problem. But that’s not right… and sure I can stay 20%-40%, but that’s too low, and it’s in danger of giving me a baseball bat effect.

My problem is staying at 50%. If I try to keep it there, I somehow tend to go to 0% or 100%. I have only been PEing a few weeks—and I’m hoping it will get easier…

Blink, I too had the same problem. But since I’ve been using tadalafil 20mg every 3 days, I don’t have that problem anymore. You might not be interested in using pharmacology to help, but its made a big difference to me.

I don’t think it’s too low. If you’re worried about the baseball bat effect (BBE?), you can throw in some reverse jelqs: stretch your unit out with one hand and jelq back down towards the base a few times every ten or twenty strokes. Also, if you jelq at different erection levels during the session you shouldn’t run into the BBE.

It’s perfectly normal for erection levels to fluctuate. Just learn to change up your grip, or throw in some stretches, or do some squeezes, or some kegels, to get back to the erection level you want to work with in any given moment.

Siva, I take a lot of supplements, my only concern is side effects. I don’t mind herbal remedies with effective zero impact side effects.

First of all, I’m relieved to know that it’s ok and normal for erection levels to fluctuate while I’m jelqing. Also…

I think I’ll be incorporating reverse jelqs. I know it would be cool to say to girls “I want to hit that”, then whip out a baseball bat shaped penis. On the other hand, being irreversibly deformed is not all its cracked up to be.

I’m mostly doing U grips and OK grips while I’m jelqing. I’m doing my best to shift my grip to many different, but symmetrical angles to evenly build the penis (mirror what the right hand does with my left). I also try to make sure to jelq as much as I can, including the base of my penis right where it exits my body, right up to the glans (avoiding the dorsal nerve, and the bundle of nerves right behind the glans) .

It does seem like my balls really get in the way if I want to jelq the lower shaft right where it exits the body.

Maybe I’m being paranoid, but I want to try and jelq that too—however, it’s a little uncomfortable if I try to put any pressure down there.

I know lots of guys to BTB jelqing after they are done with their hanging sets. I admit I haven’t studied that particular exercise yet. Perhaps that would address this concern of mine.

It just sounds like your penis isn’t conditioned enough yet. I had that problem for the first couple of months. Now I can hold any amount of erection level I want. Kegels help with that too. Good luck.

Ideally, you don’t want much actual “erection” for jelqing. The best state is where you are fluffed a little but the shaft isn’t hard. Engorged is a good description. You’ll find the groove.

I think you’re worrying way too much about developing a baseball bat shape. K Man, that’s where more girth is gained toward the head than at the base. I gained that way in the first months, but later the base caught up.

I did watch the Jelq videos when I first joined (and several extra times to make sure I understood). However, I guess I’m probably going to have some misconceptions until I really study PE more thoroughly. Thank you for explaining jelqing more clearly for me.

I still don’t have much PE experience, and I’m trying to make sure I don’t injure or deform myself. Perhaps I’m overly paranoid at this point—because I’m still trying to find my groove.

This is what works at me: I grab my penis and get ready to do dry jelqs (I’m uncut and only do dry jelqs). Before I jelq I kegel so some blood is forced into the penis, after I kegel for 1-2 second I do the jelq, when the jelq is over I kegel again and jelq again and so on.. When the erection reaches 90% or more I just stop kegeling and jelq until the erection decreases, then I start again kegel, jelq, kegel, jelq.. Just try this and maybe it will work for you too.

Porn always works for me you should watch it for like 30 mins prior so you sorta get bored of it then you can jelq away and you always stay at an acceptable jelqing level. Don’t focus on erecting ur penis jest focus on maintaining the level of bloodflow at the time. If you have the problem of getting too hard practice getting aroused and then going till ur completely flaccid. Repeat the desired amount of times it really helps for control of PC muscle and greatly helps with premature ejaculation
