Cementing gains from stretching

I understand the principle behind cementing gains maid from jelqing and the like, but what I don’t’ get is how you can make permanent any gains made from stretching.

I mean, all your really doing is making a particular ligament more flexible, and, if you where to stop stretching that ligament (As is true for all other ligaments and tendons in the body) wouldn’t it revert back to it’s natural state?

Also, how many people here have actually “cemented there gains”, and then stopped totally all PE (with exception of kegels) for over 6 months, and seen no reduction?

There are a lot of myths surrounding this activity we engage in and one of the greatest myths is “cementing gains.” There is no such thing. I mean, if it we’re possible to “cement gains” than it would be measurable upon completion of a given routine. Let see, I will hang for a session and then wrap my tool or even more pathetic, I will donut hole my golf weights and parade around for the afternoon in order to “cement gains.” Now, lets have dinner and pull out the scale and see the gains I have cemented.

It just does not work like that; deformation takes place as a result of trauma applied for a given amount of time over a prolong and consistent period. The elasticity of the physiology being affected will take place as a result of the consistent application of good PE activity not good PE activity and then good cementing activity. You can have the schlong without the cement. But if you like the feel of washers in your pants then; by all means, go to your helpful hardware man. Now, can we hear from all the cement mixers?

I don’t cement my gains or tend to. I just keep stretching.
I stopped for a month and when I measured after it was the same didn’t shrink and didn’t grow by it self. :)

I saw picture of black men that really did some massive stretching, I don’t think that it will ever revert back to it’s natural state.

If it revert I’d say half an inch….Maximum.

I’d say we’re all different, so your physiology dictates how much you’ll grow and how much you’ll revert if you stop growing. It’s all theory and that’s what we’re here for: to pitch in and see how much info we can put together.

I’m going to start using ADS for about a year, or more, if I see gains.

I want to gain faster than the 1/2” x 1/2” that I’ve already gained (more flaccid) in this last year and a half because I’ve noticed that a lot of the other guys who use ADS are gaining pretty well.

Well, I went into this thinking I was going to have to preform some sort of maintenance program after I got to where I wanted to be. The idea of permanence without exercise was something I only came across after finding this sight. It’s a little disappointing, but not at all traumatic or unexpected.

Besides, my current routine only takes like 15min, I may go up to 20 if I I have hard time getting that last half inch, but that’s about it.

I do my PE as a part of my regular work out schedule. Run > weight train > stretch > Kegels > PE > shower, 5 days a week, and rest on the weekends. I figure that I’ll when I get to where I want to be, I’ll just start doing the exercises on the weekends, and stop during the week. I can’t see any reason that twice weekly wouldn’t be sufficient to maintain gains.
