Well, these are mentioned many times here. What you have to do is to stick with your jelqing routine at least three months before starting clamping. I believe you know why.
Some PEers jelq and stretch before clamping too. To answer to your question, you can stop from jelqing and start clamping as you wish, but you know what? The great routine for great gain is made by a good combination of PEing routines. For example, start stretching, then jelqing and finish by clamping, etc.
I’m still faithful with manual stretching and V-stretch since I don’t want to spend any penny for any PEing devices.
