Thanks Graal, when you say use a white cloth, surely the colour wouldn’t matter? As I’ve read many places that colour has such a minute bearing on heat absorption in cloth that it doesn’t matter. The Nomadic Tuareg tribe commonly wear black and dark hues while travelling across the Sahara. The Aluminium Foil seems like an even better idea.

White reflects light, so the IR. The black absorbs it. The infrared will not go through the black fabric, but this fabric will become warmer.
