Dangers of Jelquing

Dangers of Jelquing

Does anyone recognise the following symptoms or is this problem just unique to me?

I have recently started jelquing after four years of abstention due to an unpleasant itching/slight burning sensation on the head of the penis. However, after just a couple of recent sessions the symptoms have recurred; the head of my penis is “flushed” red with blood and the surface feels slightly irritable. This is particularly problematic during unprotected sex as it results in a burning sensation. It’s almost as if the head loses it’s natural “lubricant”.
I initially put this down to the use of baby lotion, but have had the same experience using Vaseline.

Any advice?

How long does the itching sensation last? Surely it didn’t take four years to stop?

How intense are you performing your jelqs? I know if I get too carried away I’ll get the same thing. You could very well just be sensitive to jelqing. My advice would be to take it easy with the intensity for a bit. If you are, then I don’t know what to suggest :)

My Penis ALWAYS itches since I started PE 6 weeks ago.

I just thought the itch was part of the damage/healing process of PE.

Does not seem to bother me much. Hopefully is won’t just fall off one day!

The head of your penis is a nerve rich environment. Hard jelqing will put an enormous stress at the end of your pipe and cause capillary damage which will result in an overly sensitive corona. Nerves are exposed and slight touches can result in the sensations your experiencing. This discomfort should alleviate itself in a few hours unless there has been an excessive amount of damage. Its almost like a burn victim, the area affected is a raging mass of nerves going crazy. Rest should restore normalcy; if not, see a doc.

Try dry jelqing, maybe your cock just doesn’t like any type of lube. Start with just a few and work upwards to make sure you’re not overdoing it.

Just like LB said, Vaseline (aka Petroleum Jelly) and Baby Oil are both oil based lubricants. If you’ve had trouble with both of these, try a water based lubricant like KY Jelly. Use it during the main event too!

Another pointer is that you should cut down sugars, coffee and alcohol, and if this doesn’t help, get yourself checked out at a hospital for ST-D’s. However I believe it’s from using the wrong lubricant for you.

Yes, as bam said, try a water based lube.

My God that sounds horrible. I wonder what kind of jelqing your doing? "Flushed red with blood" are you just jelqing 500 strokes without stopping? You must have a doughnut effect as well I would imagine?

Jelqing does put pressure on the head thats for sure. Maybe you should mix in some bends so that your whole routine isn’t just jelqing. One of the good things about bends are they don’t put pressure on the head.
