I like to watch mediocre porn when I jelq to keep a proper erection level. If I watch the hottest porn I have, I’ll tend to get too erect to jelq properly. I’m just curious if this is what more experienced guys do as well.

Keep your current erection level as you learn the craft of PE. This art is a marathon. I’d hats to see you on the sideline of injury by going too hard, too soon.

Will do, I am in this for the duration so no shortcuts for me! I am on my day off now and no soreness in my dick at all, I assume that is normal, I am not going to up the pressure or duration.

One question for anyone out there: After a vasectomy reversal are there any techniques I should avoid? I do have some soreness at my reattachment point but it has been about 9 months and that comes and goes—mostly from how hard I go at the gym. So far PE hasn’t made that any worse and it is really a very little discomfort. I like doing the stretching and jelqing and am not even considering hanging or clamping at this point I am just wondering about techniques to avoid injury.

I have done both. I have found that training yourself to maintain w/o porn is actually better in the long run. It may seem impossible in the beginning.. I felt like I was trying to jelq a shoe lace. But over time, and mixing in some clamping between sets, I’m able to get 100-150 jelqs without getting too hard or too soft. One other tip that has worked for me is to use your off hand to hold your penis straight out by gripping the gland, then kegel hard and jelq

Only when I really need it.

I would warn you that there can be side effects of doing so. You’ll notice some guys in these forums are on porn detox, and after jelqing with porn, I am too. I never had any problems getting it up with my gf regardless of how much wanking I did with porn, so I didn’t worry too much about the posts in the other forums about porn short circuiting your sex drive, etc. However, after jelqing with porn for a couple of months I went to see my gf (long distance) and all of that great new EQ I’d created was totally gone. I was basically only semihard for most of our sex. I attribute this basically entirely to the fact that I’d been teaching myself to get aroused only with porn for months. With masturbation you generally get going and keep going, so once you’re up, you’re up. Whereas with jelqing (at least for me), it was basically jack it while watching porn for a minute, jelq for a minute, repeat a bunch of times. This means that porn-arousal response relationship is getting way more ingrained than otherwise.

I took a week off PE and have since started jelqing sans porn and can say that I get a much better workout in much less time. I am able to focus on expansion and the mind-cock connection (a play on the mind-muscle connection always talked about in bodybuilding, if you’ll humor me) much more, and waste way less time simply masturbating to the right erection level. It wasn’t easy at first, but I am getting better at it.

Obviously this is just my own experience and your mileage will vary, but something to consider.

I have about 500 non hard-core pictures mostly of just really hot chicks and I just put some goa kind of trance music on and start the side-show and do my think, either clamping or jelqing and edging. It’s a good way to learn self-control and how to last long.

I try to jelq without porn these days, but more often than not end up watching some form, takes time to change habbits.

While watching porn no matter how much self control you have, sometimes you end up getting off track and forgetting about the PE all together lol and therefore over time you mess up your routine.

It’s also not good for the mind, if our planning to do a lot of PE with porn, then your gonna end up watching WAY too much porn and that is going to fuck up your mind and probably your EQ, that’s why I try to keep it to soft porn or pictures.
