Does PE still work?

Does PE still work?

Ok here is what I’m asking. The PE craze and energy was really strong in here 2-3 years ago but since then I have noticed the long-time members here have stopped reporting gains. I would like to hear a solid yes or no answer from the VETS and LONG-TIME members (even mods) on here regarding PE. Does it still work after the newbie gains?

I have been here long enough to read that it indeed does work. I’m not trying to discourage newbies because they are the ones that truly get the most gains.. just wondering if the more oldschool members here still grow?

Well it will have been 3 years of consistent PE under my belt after this month is over and I can say that it does still work. In fact this is my most successful year to date. I still need to update my sig as I have grown some since then.

Hey Mtype

Well I wouldn’t call myself a vet, I’ve been doing PE for 4 years, 2 of which were hardcore, serious years, but yes PE still works after newbie gains. You may have to adjust your routine a little but I have gained a lot, and still am gaining after 4 years (length, which I don’t want). Also there are others here who do report gaining after the initial newbie gains and over prolong periods of time, even if its not as much as it was when they started out.

Hope that helps, Zerone

Well thats the the question isnt it?

I have just started a de-con break after a year of steady PE and I have wondered what my next year will bring, given that I will apply the same dedication that got me my first (newbie) inch.

One is always concerned that asking that question could potentially discourage newbies, but the answers need to be found.

I have taken “forced” decon breaks caused by vacations, out of state business trips. Family over for the holidays. I would have to say most if not all of the decon breaks I have actually received an increase in size.

You can debate its better EQ or healing. But either way it was hard not to PE even when I did not have an option, but coming back and panicking as I hold the ruler up praying I at least maintained and seeing gains makes it hard to argue against decon breaks.

Starting Stats: BPEL = 5.875, EG = 4.375 <> Current Stats: BPEL = 7.25, EG = 4.6

I posted something similar to this topic a little while back. I lurked around this site a few years ago when I was still in high school and I was kind of amazed at the traffic and rate of posting. Back then, I decided I didn’t have the time and will to commit to PE .. And now that I’ve come back with a sense of energy and commitment, I’m slightly disappointed with the activity on here relative to my earlier experience. I don’t mean in terms of quality, by the way. You guys have all been incredibly helpful and informative in responding to my questions, but I’m just not sure if the many “retired” posters have reached their goals and maintained them or if the majority of them just didn’t have any success and gave up.

I think many and probably most guys who commit to PE will experience some initial gain after which gains plateau and are significantly harder to come by. Sometimes the initial gains are very impressive and sometimes not.

A lot of members report continued gains after the initial burst, but at a much reduced rate requiring ever greater intensity. I’m sure a lot of guys throw in the towel at that point and decide it isn’t worth it, or their lifestyle will not permit upping the time required for effective PE.

There are some, however, who have reported fairly slow but steady gains over a period of years.

That`s encouraging to know.

I still do some manual stretching but I`ve cut out the mechanical stretching as I have had no measurable length gain in months.

Funnily enough I had a real surprise one day in august after a few weeks of clamping as I measured after a clamping session and found that I`d gained a 1/4” in a matter of weeks.

I haven`t seen any length gains since.

PE can be confusing sometimes.
