Dry Jelq - Hot Wrap necessary

Anyone have any opinion as to if the hot wrap is necessary?

I think the hot wrapping is over rated, so I am bias. If you wanted to do a little dry jelqing and the hot water or microwave wasn’t handy I wouldn’t let it stop me.

I tend to agree with AH. I think hot wrapping is useful for hanging, but over rated for manual exercises. If you’re just starting out, five minutes of hot wrapping at the beginning of your routine isn’t a bad idea.

After a couple of months, you might try experimenting. Do a couple weeks with and a couple weeks without and see if you notice any difference.
