Fat Loss - My realization and what I don't want to believe

I was going to keep my mouth shut about that part but you are right lol the world’s top natural bodybuilders at around 6’1 or close to that maxed out around 214lbs at a true 10% bodyfat and we are talking about the genetic limit here. It seems like mostly muscle until you start cutting and reality start to set in after that first 20lb loss and you still can’t see your abs unflexed. I could see my abs flexed and I still had over 20lbs to lose to get near lean. I’m still not there probably 10lbs more though. I still have about a .93 fat pad but I can also see a slight outline of my unflexed abs. 8mm can be pinched on my belly measured by my calipers.

I challenge you on that. I want to see pictures. For reference Arnold was about 240 at 10% with admitted juicing. You saying you bigger than him as a natural? Bodyfat percentage can be tricky and a lot of us tend to guess it terribly wrong. A lot of guys I’ve seen on YouTube got dexa scanned with ripped abs unflexed and they were barely pushing 10%. But I’d like to see pictures.

Theres a good video on YouTube by Vitruvian physique, where he takes clips of 10 other youtuber physique guys getting dexa scans. What it revealed was that even though the dexa is pretty accurate and consistent over time, they way a person looks is not always indicative of their body fat %. One guy with abs more shredded than another, can get into a dexa scan only to find out that his bodyfat % is higher than his slightly less ripped counterpart.

My flaccid is close to an inch bigger. You can see a bulge now too now that I have smaller legs.

Most figures when it comes to body fat percentages are just guesstimates, mostly influenced by body composition and where the individual body stores the most fat cells. At least that is my experience. If doctors need advanced equipment to make a somewhat accurate composition estimation it’s highly unlikely that we can get within only a few % margin with the naked eye… Visual indicators like visible muscles or veins can give a hint I guess, but I doubt most people will agree on the fat % of the same body from a picture.

Losing weight and/or taking care of your body in general should go hand in hand with PE though. Great motivational boost to think that you are working on two of your goals at once, imo. I recently lost some weight, not really planned but I don’t mind… My fat pad is still around 0.75”, I’d like to reduce it but I can’t really go down further in weight.
I’d estimate my body fat to be around 16%, 6’1 at 220lb.

Keep in mind too bodybuilders right before a competition are NOT the ideal form of health. Most are only at that weight for a very short amount of time prior to the competition, and literally starve and dehydrate themselves for a few days before.

I’m not a bodybuilder. I’ve cut to 7-8% before and I didn’t like it. I was too weak. My deadlift dropped to 405 for reps and I started getting gassed easily in the gym.

Correct. The only accurate way to measure body fat is with a bod pod. I used one of those omron machines.

Let’s forget the bodyfat for a second then. Let’s look at stats. 255 at 12% would put you bigger than Arnold at around 10% and he was an admitted juicer and for goodness sake he is Arnold. You telling me you have better stats than he did in his prime? You must be on some serious stuff here or need a reality check about bodyfat. If you claim natural you are like 30lbs over the muscle limit of what is considered possible by a natural lifter. Again I am going based on your “claimed” stats and the fact that most sites put a person at 6’3 at around 217lbs and those are the generous sites. The absolute limit which maybe a couple top bodybuilders surpass by 2 to 4lbs. You telling me you surpassed that by over 25lbs of pure muscle? Or do you think you need a reality check about bodyfat and science?

I’d like to also add that even on trt you could shoot up until your test is at the absolute maximum of the natural range and it still won’t be the same as a person on aas or anything just to be clear. Trt wouldn’t be considered cheating I’m just saying you need a lesson on what is scientifically possible as a natural bodybuilder as far as muscle building goes.

You’ve claimed that I’m 17-20%. This puts my lean body mass at between 204-212. These are your numbers. My pics prove that I carry muscle mass. If I’m 13,15 or 17, it really is irrelevant. The sources and tools I use give me those numbers. Those are the tools at my disposal. Body fat is not my top concern. A 1815 total at 242 (cut) is my goal.

20% was being generous. With more muscle mass you can’t compare yourself to a person at 20% who doesn’t lift it would be like night and day. I look at bodybuilders with a lot of muscle mass, bulging unflexed abs and such with vascularity everywhere and all say they are like 15% and I’m like what the fuck? Muscle mass can be deceptive and these guys at 15% look nothing like you. Those are the guys on aas and such I only used them as an example since you claimed 12% at 255lbs there aren’t any natural lifters with stats even close to that.

This is a good article on the subject I think, with good sources behind all his claims. It can be used to try to estimate how much muscle one is realistically packing, but won’t provide any certainties of course.

Helped me to set realistic goals for myself in terms of body weight and muscle mass.

Ok. You are reaching the point of being over aggressive.

Here’s the points I’ve consistently made:
1. Bod pod (or dexa as you’ve taught me) is the most accurate way of measuring body fat.
2. My claim is based on the tools and sources I’ve sited. Omron, pinch…
3. I am not lying or intentionally deceiving anyone.
4. When using tools to measure, you must stay consistent to track progress.
5. I’m not a bodybuilder.

Maybe is should say body fat = 13% (Omron, pinch) since that’s the most accurate measurements I have? Eh, that’s fair, I guess.
