Free Printable Girth Measuring Strips
Hey guys,
So measuring girth with a tailors tape just never really worked for me. For the past year I’ve been using a strip of paper, since I feel that I can get a more accurate measurment. I’ll wrap a thin strip around, make a fold, the lay it on a flat ruler to take my measurement. Making the fold over and over makes taking the measurment difficult, and I’d often have to get a new piece of paper to get a good result.
I finally got off my butt and made some measuremnt strips. Basically each strip has a measurement on it, and the idea is that you keep a few around that are in the general range of your girth. I’m just now breaking into the 12s so I printed out the 12-12.9 sheet (I made 11.0-16.9). I’ll wrap the 12.0 when taking my MSEG measurement, and if there is a gap, i’ll progress to the next strip until there isn’t. No folding or laying against a tape necessary.
These sheets are made for printing on 8.5”x11” at 100% scale. If “print to fit” or any other scaling is used, they will not be accurate. Cut them out as close down the center of the line as you can, at least on the measurement lines and verify with a ruler before using.. You can cut the strips as thick as you desire, but the length is important. Sorry, only in centimeters at the moment. I may create an imperial set when i get bored and have free time.
Some images and the first 3 (11.0-13.9)PDFs are attached. The next 3 PDFs (14.0-16.9) are coming in the next post.
