Newbie here.
Here’s my story.
I am 52, a little late to be just learning about PE but not TOO late I trust.
I have always considered my dick to be small, but still, it has been effective with the ladies.

As a teenager, I wasn’t overly self conscious about my size because I knew I was getting more pussy than most of the guys with much bigger members. Still, in the locker room I couldn’t help but notice that I was almost always the smallest one there. (Flaccid length only about 2”)

As I say, I was smaller than average but it didn’t bother me much until I was dating a girl in grad school (I must have been about 30) who made comments about my size. She ‘got around’ a lot and clearly preferred “big ones.”
I tried not to let her comments bother me, after all it wasn’t keeping her from ‘sleeping’ with me, but it did have an effect. Since then I’ve been more self conscious about my size and have wanted a bigger wang.

Then about a month ago I stumbled onto a PE discussion (not here) and learned about jelqing. I decided to give it a try. Their first suggestion was to take measurements so I did. My starting size: 5.25” BPEL, 5.5” Girth.

The first thing that I noticed was that my pecker is wider than it is tall. And from the statistics I found on this website I have learned that is a rather unusual situation, less than 1% of measurements in the Thunders Place database have girth greater than length. It turns out that while I am indeed shorter than average, I am equally far on the thicker than average side, such that my starting volume (12.6 cu. In.) was about average.
So that explains a lot. That explains how I could be the smallest one in the locker room (focusing on length) and yet have great success pleasing my partners (where girth definitely helps).

I have to say I was skeptical that PE could work… I figured I was stuck with the size god gave me, but I have definitely made progress. The first hint that it was working was after a week I could notice some “baseball bat” effect… I had always been very straight and parallel on the sides and after a week of jelqing I could definitely see and feel that the top half of my penis was wider than the lower half.

So now I have been doing PE for about 4 weeks:
8/15/08: My starting size: 5.25” BPEL, 5.5” Girth, Vol: 12.6 cu. In.
9/11/08: After 4 weeks beginner routine: 6” BPEL, 5.75” Girth. Vol: 15.8 cu. In.

Needless to say, I am elated with my progress. I have gone from below average in size to above average in one month. If I never gain another millimeter I would be fine with that. I plan on continuing the exercises to “cement my gains” I have set a goal of 20 cu. In. (7 x 6) but I would be happy just to keep the gains I’ve already made.

Like you I started out with a thicker unit (5.75 on a good day). Interesting you made all the gains from jelqing as I need to stretch a lot to see length gains I’ve learned.

Jelq and stretching

It wasn’t just jelqing.. That is just what I learned about first, and for the first week that’s all I did. But after that I learned some of the stretches and have done the basic beginners routine, about 20 minutes in the morning and evening, a combination of jelq and stretching. But it was the jelq that gave me the initial girth gain that encouraged me to continue with the program.

What do you seasoned veterans think about splitting a routine into morning and evening? Do you think it’s a good idea for a newb, or do you think I’d be over training?

One Year Update - A Penis and a Half

Update: One year of PE, now I’ve got a penis and a half!

I started PE one year ago.

Starting size: 5.25 BPEL, 5.5 girth, vol. 12.6 cu. In.

I got some noticeable gains right away which encouraged me to continue.

After 3 months: 6.25 BPEL, 5.75 girth, vol. 16.4

After good gains in the first few months using the basics (jelq, stretch, Uli, kegels) the gains stopped.
With no more gains coming, I got a little discouraged. I took off a month after I had a couple of PE injuries. It wasn’t my penis I injured, it was my back. It seems that standing while doing a straight out stretch was putting strain on my back. Now I sit to do PE. No more problems.

A couple of months ago I added occasional clamping to my routine, about 20 minutes 2-3 times per week.
I think that helped because I have gained a bit more lately.

Current size 6.5 BPEL, 5.85 girth, vol 17.7

I had originally set a goal of 7 x 6 (20 cu. In), which I thought was probably unattainable, but something to shoot for.. While I’m still short of my goal, I am over 2/3 of the way there now (by volume).

In one year I went from just over 12 cu. In.
To almost 18 cu. In. That’s a penis and a half!

I’m going to continue PE, maybe not as persistently as this last year, but my goal of 7 x 6 is so close I can’t stop now.

That is very awesome news, congrats! I just started the beginning of this month and cannot wait to see what my 1 year holds for me. Hopefully I will have as much luck as you have had.

I thought about doing it, but honestly, I didn’t think PE would work so I blew it off. Big mistake.
