General Clamping Question

For the past three years I have focused mainly on length by hanging as well as extending. Recently, I started learning about clamping and have been thinking about adding it into my workouts. I have searched on the forum boards for a good amount of information. I do have one question though that I haven’t found within a post. I normally hang for an hr, so I do 3 sets at 20 mins a piece. In-between each set, I normally jelq for 3 mins to get fresh blood back into my penis. I have been doing this for the entire three years that I have been hanging. I would like to know, do I still need a newbie Jelqing routine or should I just start clamping? If so, this was my idea of the clamping routine I would consider:

3x 5 minute sessions on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

After four weeks, I would make it 3x 8min sessions. Not changing the days.

After an additional four weeks 3x 10min sessions.

Mainly, I’d keep the workouts to MWF unless instructed otherwise to add on a day. After the twelve weeks I would add another rep rather than more minutes.

You can probably start clamping, just be careful.

Clamping is going to make hanging (if you are using a compression hanger) more difficult. Maybe not at first, but it’ll have a compounding effect. Just be aware.


Start : 7 BPEL, 4.8 mseg

Now : 8 BPEL, 5.43 mseg, 8.375 BPFSL

Damn, I was hoping to use one with the other. I’m using the malehanger to hang with I guess I have to choose which one I rather do. Bummer

My own experience with clamping was that it gave rapid gains for a period of time, but then stopped gains by any method I tried at the time, including pumping, as well as giving some pretty permanent side effects like discoloration, less sensitivity, and weaker erections. I think the reason my gains stopped was because the penis became too tough to expand further.

It’s possible the way you do clamping won’t have the same results I got, I was very aggressive with clamping. I’ve had better results from light hanging and light pumping, having recently surpassed the size I reached with clamping in the past.


Starting: 7"bplx5.2" 2017 (shrunk from disuse)(originally 8"bplx4.5", gained to 9"bplx6")

Current: 9.0"bplx6.125" 2020

Goal: 11.5"bplx7" 2021.

At first I did gain from clamping around 3 mm of girth but after I got overzealous wanting more gains and only got negative side effects I pushed harder and harder and worsened my EQ after taking a long break from injury. I don’t get morning wood any more and pumping improved things but not like before.After some time of I tried to start light and increase the intensity but didn’t gain any size and got scared of pushing further due to possible injury. So I would recommend clamping for a possible first bout of gains but after that it’s just too dangerous in my mind.
