The term is “glans” not “glands” and it is simply the head of your penis, yes.

The “official” term is “glans penis.” There’s a “glans clitoris,” too. :)

It apparently means “acorn” in Latin.

When we talk to the public what word among these should we use?
Penis, dick, unit, member? Seriously, I’m not so sure and I want to be polite to the public.

Another question is when people say You're a dick, what does it mean? Is it bad? When do we use that?

Saying “You’re a dick” is like saying “You’re not a nice person” only in a much more harsh manner. :D I don’t know how the saying came to be. It makes no sense to me either and I’m American. We have some really stupid sayings. Like “F*ck you” for example. People say that like it is a negative thing. How is that a derrogatory statement? I usually say “OK!” Don’t be worried about not understanding our language, we don’t understand it ourselves mmost of the time. :D
