Going soft during wet jelqs

I’ve been working up my wet jelq routine for a few days now, however I’m finding that I’m not able to hold a partial erection past maybe a minute or so (if that sometimes). Is there anything technically I should be doing to hold myself to that half erect state?

Also, if I end up jelqing completely soft is that likely to have any kind of effect?

Perhaps your grip is too tight. Lighten up a bit so your jelqing feels good.

Kegel just before you grip with the bottom hand at the base of your shaft, to control your erection level.

Only try it if your erection level has subsided, it can be either too intense or efficient depending on how and when you use it.

An other way to see it would be to grip with your second hand (lightly) a bit before the end of your first jelq.

Apart from that how is your EQ ? Since you started to have this problem when you increased the reps, as gprent suggested you may be doing too much. Make sure to take enough rest days.
