How long to do Newbie Routine? [my search result inside as well]

Hey all, I haven’t posted in a couple weeks but I’ve still been reading around here, and of course still am trying to learn everything.

My question here is, how long to stay on the Newbie Routine until switching off to a different routine?

I did a search and of all my thread-results this was the only one that was directed towards my question:

You won’t lose girth (what you are referring to as “weigh”) from this. I don’t know what you mean by “PS squeeze,” but you should avoid advanced exercises for now.

Use the newbie routine

My question after reading that is, how many months was he talking about when he said “a few?” I broke down the newbie routine and found that the “formula” for adding stretches and jelq’s per week are as follows:

Week 1: 5 minutes of stretches [10, 30-second stretches] ~and~ 10 minutes of jelqing (200 3-second strokes)

Week 2: 6 minutes of stretches [12, 30-second stretches] ~and~ 14 minutes of jelqing (280 3-second strokes)

Week 3: 7 minutes of stretches [14, 30-second stretches] ~and~ 10 minutes of jelqing (360 3-second strokes)

Week 4: 8 minutes of stretches [16, 30-second stretches] ~and~ 10 minutes of jelqing (440 3-second strokes)

Week 5: 9 minutes of stretches [18, 30-second stretches] ~and~ 10 minutes of jelqing (520 3-second strokes)

Week 6: 10 minutes of stretches [20, 30-second stretches] ~and~ 10 minutes of jelqing (600 3-second strokes)

If you don’t know what I’m talking about and I’ve lost you on this last part this is the part I’m referring to, quoted directly from the “Official Newbie Routine Thread”:

Gradually increase to 10 min total of stretches and 30 min of jelqing over about 6 weeks time

Anyways, I’ve been on my 6th week for a week now… in other words, according to what is suggested in the “Official Newbie Routine Thread”, I won’t be increasing in # of Jelq’s or Stretches anymore; I will remain doing 600 Jelq’s and Twenty (20) 30-second stretches.

Summary (now that I’ve explained where my question is being derived from):
Since I’m no longer going to be increasing in # of Jelq’s or Stretches anymore, how long do I continue doing these 600 Jelq’s and Twenty (20) 30-second stretches? And what routine is suggested to take after I’m done with this “newbie routine” for best gains (mainly looking for Erect Length)? By the way before anybody says it, by “for best gains” I mean a routine that has been known to produce results (preferrably in Erect Length) in multiple members since I know results may vary from member-to-member.

Also, when is it safe to say that I can incorporate other exercises (I’ve been wondering about this “JAI stretch I keep hearing about”) into my routine without having to wondering if my gains are coming from my basic routine or my new stretches that I have added in (in other words after I’ve gotten “every possible gain” from my original routine). Basically I tend to think that I should get all the results I can, then incorporate something new in, get all the results from that, and just keep repeating; in other words getting the most out of everything. I tend to think that if I were to add JAI stretches in now it would put an end to all gains I would have originally gotten from the “newbie routine” had I not incorporated this/these new routine(s).

Thanks a BUNCH for any help on this, as I’ve been wondering about this for a couple weeks now.

No dedication + No self-discipline = No Gains. This goes for working out as well. It\'s elementary math kids.

Starting Date: 1-17-05 - EL: 6 in. EG: 5.125 in. ... or 5 2/16 in. ..FL: 4.5 in. ... or 4 8/16 in. FG: 4.5 in. ... or 4 8/16 in.

14th Check-In Date (much 'rest time' so far): 10-01-06 - EL: 7 1/16 in. EG: 5 9/16 in. ................ FL: 5.00 in. ... or 5 in. FG: 4.75 in. ... or 4 12/16 in....1st Goal: EL: 7 in. EG: 5.75 in ... or 5 12/16 in.

Technically speaking you can stay on a newbie routine indefinitely. However, you can incorporate advanced girth exercises, hanging, and pumping after 1 month.

I still pretty much do the newbie routine after two years of PE’ing. I just increase the intensity and/or repetitions.

You can’t really advance much, unless you buy equipment I guess, but there are more intense exercises that you can do if you feel that the newbie routine isn’t really working for you.

Need money to do advanced stuff? I don’t think so.

It doesn’t get more advanced than this :p and it’s free

Stretching with the anal…

Woah, the guy in that link actually puts his …. up his …. and calls it an advanced stretch?

But yeah, when is it suggested to stop doing the newbie routine and move on to another routine? What routine should I move on to (my main focus is erect length)? Do I even stop doing the newbie routine? If I don’t stop it, does this mean I do the whole newbie routine and then just keep adding more and more to it?

Thanks a BUNCH again for any answers to these questions, and of course for the answers so far!

When you see you aren’t gaining from it (either “ever” or “anymore”) Give it at least a couple months though

>What routine should I move on to (my main focus is erect length)?<

I think the question should more be, “What exercise do I add to my routine?”. The more advanced stretches or maybe try hanging.

>Do I even stop doing the newbie routine?<

You don’t have to, a lot of guys still do the newbie routine in some shape or form. Maybe some just add reps, or intensity, or extra exercises.
Stretching and jelqing are basic exercises tha shouldn’t ever be stopped IMHO.

>If I don’t stop it, does this mean I do the whole newbie routine and then just keep adding more and more to it?<

No, do what works for you. Add to it, take from it, rearrange it. Like I said I would keep doing the jelqs and stretches in some form. But adapt it to suit your needs.

The caviet about sticking with the newbie routine isn’t meant to imply that you throw the routine out after a month or so. We get guys that want to do horses or start hanging after a few days of PE, neither of which would be a good thing. As others have written above, the idea is to stick with just the basics for a month or more before considering higher risk exercises. This will give you time to learn how you respond to PE and allow your unit to toughen up.

Crazy gains! What is the key to your success?

Dude, it’s impossible to do 600 3 second jelqs in 10 minutes.
