How to measure correctly?

I’ve done a lot of searching but I couldn’t find any perfect answers, so here’s my question.
When I measure my erect size I usually find different results due to ruler placement. If I put the ruler a little bit to the side of my penis I can score an extra half an inch, when I put the ruler exactly in the middle, it’s a bit smaller. When I stand up, it’s a bit smaller, but when I sit down it’s a little bigger. When I spread my legs a little it’s even bigger, but when I keep my legs closed it’s a bit smaller again.

My question obviously is, how do I measure my exact NBPEL? I know that with PE it’s all about gaining and consistency, but I’d just like to know my exact NBPEL. How do I measure this right? Maybe someone can post a link to a picture here which will explain things to me.

Thanks for the link, but that still doesn’t answer all of my questions. Should I measure standing or while sitting? Sitting gives me better results. Also, while having sex, you hardly every keep your legs closed, you spread them a little. Doesn’t that mean that we should be measuring with our legs spread a little, thus giving better results?
