How to measure flaccid penis size

Hey, I was wondering, what is the general way one goes about measuring flaccid size?

Does one hold their package parallel to the floor to measure like when it’s erect? Or does one simply measure it while it’s freely hanging?

I notice that I lose 1/4 to 1/2 of an inch in length when I hold it parallel because it becomes somewhat contracted.

Does anyone know the general method used?

I was trying to find what the instructions for the kinsey information that was compiled, but I couldn’t find any.

I believe the usual response is “however you measure it, do it the same way each time.” I hold it straight out and do a “bone pressed” flaccid measurement. Others just measure it as it hangs and put the end of the ruler or tape at the point where the penis exits the body. Flaccid size can change with any number of variables such as time of day, room temperature, time since last ejaculation, etc. For some consistency, see if you can control the other variables then pick a way to measure and do it the same way each time.

Yea, I can see the point regarding consistency, assuming that I’m trying to keep track of my flaccid size through PE improvement. Alas, I’m just trying to figure out how most people measure flaccid size so I know I’m comparing myself in the right way to those who concede to penis size surveys and whatnot.

It seems to make sense that most people would measure it as it hangs though.

I think most guys measure it as it hangs from the body, non-bone pressed.

Lifting it to parallel to the floor will indeed reduce the measurement by a bit.

That’s what I do.

I don’t have to worry about that measurement…mine doesn’t get flaccid hahahaha
