Hydration and PE
I was having some thoughts today about hydration and the body’s ability to recover from stress and injury. I think its pretty basic knowledge that water is an essential part our body, as it makes up the majority of our composition. It’s pretty well accepted that people who are properly hydrated are healthier, recover from sickness more quickly as well has injury and physical exertion. Well how is that different from our PE? We are breaking down tissues and cells in order to build them back up bigger and stronger. Whether it be ligs/tendons, blood vessels and arteries, or muscles from kegels, they all need to recover after a workout. I was curious to hear about some veteran quick and slow gainers and their daily water intake? Does anyone hydrate before and after a PE session? I mean it sounds kind of silly, but I’ve always learned no question is a dumb question….
This could probably extend as far as diet too, but who know? I’m not very well versed on human physiology so maybe someone could step in and help! Thanks!
I attached an article that talks a little about cellular hydration. It makes sense…also our hydrated cells should be a little larger right, helping with expansion?
