Hydrocortisone on Glans

Hey guys, i just visited the doctor(not urologist/dermatologist) for my dry, flakey cracked glans. He prescribed me a cream with hydrocortison. He said that we had to try to see if it is fungus, but i dont think it is since i have not experienced any itching - and it is barely visible when flaccid but mainly while semi erect or erect laying down but not kegeling. I already apply softeners like coconut oil and vitamin E oil, it sure does help in the moment but the small cracks or stretchmarks are still there and i would really like for them to heal up.

I just began applying vitamin E so maybe i should give it a few weeks before going for the hydrocortison?

On here people seem to say it is bad to apply such a cream(hydrocortisone) on the glans - should i do it? I highly doubt it is fungus but more like over-expanding the glans due to PE and the leaving some stretch-marks, and it has been like this for a year so shouldn’t the fungus have healed by now….but i am not counting out fungus entirely.

I am uncircumized so that why i am bothered by this keratinization of the skin, and it has been like this for almost a year and this stuff keeps me from proceeding with PE.

Really appreciate any input. Kind of starting to lose hope since it feels as barely anyone has succesfully got rid of “cracked glans”.

Why not follow what the doctor suggested?

Well searching around here on Thunders everyone seems to think it does more harm than good, but i will try for sure.

Why go to a doc, spend the time and money and not do what he says?

Well, the combination of that i don’t really believe in his analysis with that some people on here seem to think hydrocortisone on glans is dangerous.

Hydrocortisone in the strength you’re using barely does anything at all. It helps with certain skin conditions but nothing else. It won’t harm you at all and worth a try.
