I guess this is not too uncommon when your just starting out. Just to be safe though, ease up on the intensity a little bit. You want your dick to hang fuller and longer after a PE session. A retracting, beat up looking dick is often a sign of overdoing it. In other words, use a little less force when stretching and loosen up your grip a bit when jelqing.

1. How fast should I move between each item of the routine / should there be a waiting gap if so how long?

Usually around 2-3 seconds per jelq.

2. How hard should I squeeze while jelqing?

Start out with a specific amount of force, if you penis doesn’t mind then maybe tug a little harder. If it gets unhappy then apply less force.

3. My nut sack naturally hangs low (and is quite big) so when I make the “OK” with my hand at the base of the penis some of the nut sack skin gets in there too, should I fiddle with it to get it out of the way each time or include it in the “OK” and drag it up towards the penis head?

I have this problem as well sometimes. I usually get it out of the way, I’m just thinking… Maybe we could use selotape or something to keep it out of the way? Watch out when taking the tape off lol!!

4. I read on the “How to Jelq” page something about how erect the penis should be while jelqing, since I am aiming to extend length (don’t care about girth right now) am I right not to let the penis be too erect because I jelqed at about 20-40% erect?

I’m not sure about this and would also like to see the answer.

Learning to jelq is one of the hardest thing a PEer has to do. You have to learn the specifics on your own, but that could take 3 months.

Answers:

1. I usually split up my routine. I jelq in the mornings and stretch in the evenings, but I do a warm up/down before each session to make sure I don’t injure myself. There is very important early on. You don’t want to injure yourself and take off time to heal.
2. Medium grip. The main focus is to move the blood within the penis. If you go to hard, you’ll notice red marks on your glands (head of penis).
3. Not sure. Search for “turkey neck” on this site and see what pops up.
4. I think the consensus is that if you jelq at a lower erection (50%) then it helps with length gains, and if you jelq at a 75-80% erections, it focusses more on girth. Some people say 100% is the shit! But I stay away from that - and you should too since you’re a newbie.
5. It’s normal to turtle, but some advocate that you never let it turtle up, i.e., Big Girtha. Over time, your flaccid length with increase as your erect length increases, so I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

Wow, your stats were very similar to mine. If I remember correctly I was around 5.7 or so BPEL and a 5 EG (this is a complete guess, I only measured my girth a few weeks ago, and it was 6 back then), I now have a 7.8 BPEL with a 6.1 EG. Entirely on the newbie routine; I warm up, jelq, warm down and stretch; a 5:2 on off day ration - but on occasion skipping entire weeks of PE! Feel what’s enough for you. In my experience it’s a lot wiser to under-do the exercises than over-do.

Believe me Sir, these here forums are well worth the hours dispensed reading. I feel very grateful for the collective wisdom and experiences from the many dazzling wits at Thunder’s. Come to think of it if get to my 8 by 6 stats I’ll definitely donate in thanks to this outstanding pool of knowledge on subjects that go unaddressed or are avoided in our society.

So after 2 days on and 1 day of rest I have to say I am already noticing an increase in growth around the base of my penis it looks incredible to have a bigger feeling there in such a short amount of time. I am not jelqing nearly as hard as I was before and now my penis hangs over my nutsack in a much better way for more time during the day; also I am not stretching my penis TOO hard but enough to feel a stretch. The temptation to suddenly increase my routine or intensify it is very strong to get quicker results but I think rather than doing that I will stick to the newbie routine that I am currently doing for a full month at least if not perhaps for 6-8 weeks. I just can not imagine having an injury or being able to handle having an injury - I would freak out!

I think I’ll post up my new measurements every 2 weeks just so that for others it is like an on-going “live” example of a guy doing the newbie routine and how it’s working out for him :)

Hey can you tell me more about your routine because it looks slightly different, do you do this?

-5min warmup
-10min jelq
-5min stretches
-5min warm down

Because that looks so much simpler to me; do you feel stretching after jelqing and not before is better or any different to stretching before jelqing?

How long have you been doing PE and when did you first started seeing gains and how long do you plan to keep doing the newbie routine? :)

Hey man :) . This is what I remember.

I found out about a basic P.E. well over a year ago. The only routine I did for around 6 months was dry jelqing. I’m not sure exactly how much I grew during those 6 months, but I was unsatisfied with my gains (I did measure, but didn’t keep a record). On further investigation of natural P.E (via some dark and drizzly forums) I was informed by a kindred helpful soul (whom I forget the name of) of these here forums.

In its professionalism and sheer content and general usage I was convinced of P.E’s validity. I developed my own routine during this time without knowledge of the ‘Newbie Routine’ (considered myself ‘above’ a newbie, being the arrogant son of a bitch I am), and developed my personal routine as I went along reading past and present posts on these boards for quite some time. From the point I found this website, my gains have been pretty steady and in my reality (I don’t really keep track of dates - sometimes forget what day it is) they have been pretty rapid – as in I see gains pretty much straight away.

My routine:

-5-8min Warm Up. (Varies on how I feel.)
-2-20min Jelq. (Varies on penis fatigue level.)
-2min) Warm Down. (Varies depending how quickly I get olive oil off my penis.)
-20min or so stretching. Any stretching techniques will do, I hold them all for around 5 to 10 seconds, max.

Always in that order. I find I get a better, easier stretch when the penis is warm. I used to exercise twice a day, with no harm to my penis, and quite rapid gains but due to my laziness I’ve stopped night-time practise. Just depends on how I feel. I see those routines as more of a health benefiting exercise that has a growth side-effect.

Note I’ve had some major scaring. Most have gone now. I do not understand at all how scaring develops. It is a complete mystery to me. In its darkness, it can be scary.

Differing schools of thought on Jelq/ stretch order- common wisdom says stretch first, but I believe that Jelqing first exhausts the tunica, reducing resistance and thus making it more pliable. Read more here.

DO NOT forget a thorough warmup. That is the first step to loosening up the tissues in question. I have observed that simply warming up gives me a wicked sweet flaccid hang- that tells me that it definitely can’t hurt and most likely helps the PE process.

What do you guys think about stretch before AND after jelqing, for the same periods of time, e.g. 5min stretching, 10-20min jelqing, 5min stretching ?

Take your time, it’s not a race. If you overdo it you can end up with bruising and tenderness. I’d definitely suggest cutting your routine in half at least for the first couple weeks and don’t forget to take at least a day off every 5 days or so. You’re essentially building a muscle and you wouldn’t go to the gym and start off by benching your max for an hour 7 days a week. Work your way up to thatt routine and you Will be seeing legit results before you know it
